Drug-Free Sidewalks Rally

Date: Wednesday, August 27th

Time: March starts at 4:00 pm

Location: 164 6th Street, San Francisco

Drug-Free Sidewalks, CityTeam, local neighbors, merchants, and members of the recovery community are coming together to demand safe, drug-free sidewalks.

These rallies highlight the devastating impact that open-air drug markets have on SOMA while building momentum for safer, healthier street conditions. In May 2025, Mission District neighbors and Drug-Free Sidewalks co-hosted a powerful rally to end public drug use — an event that drew widespread attention, including coverage by NBC News - see article here.

It’s time to reclaim our streets and sidewalks. Join us and stand together to make this rally a powerful success.

SOMA Nights

Every 4th Thursday of the month...

SOMA Nights is a monthly celebration of art, food, and culture held along Folsom Street between 6th and 12th Streets. Taking place every fourth Thursday, the series brings together longtime SOMA businesses—many of which have served the community for more than three decades—fostering collaboration, creativity, and vital local support during a period of major street construction.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 28th for the next SOMA Nights—DEAD NIGHT—a tribute to The Grateful Dead and six decades of music that have helped shape San Francisco’s cultural legacy.

A heartfelt thank you to Viktoriya Wise from SFMTA, whose support made it possible for us to have booth space on Folsom Street.
