Dear fellow Optimist,
The third quarter of the optimist year is the rally quarter. It is time to rally our clubs and invite new members who have spent too much time isolated from friends. We all need a dose of optimism, and you can provide it in your community with a
WOW program. Here are some other things to focus on in May:
- Elections are in progress for Optimist International President, Two Optimist International Board of Directors and the Northeast/Great Lakes Region Vice President. Learn more here. Your Club President should have already received an email with voting instructions. If not, please contact the Optimist International office at leadership@optimist.org. Voting ends May 30, 2021.
- You should also be focusing on changing leadership in your club. Now is the time to elect new club officers. Please submit your Club Officer Elect Report (COER) by May 20, 2021. This report can also be submitted online using your Optimist Leaders Login. New club officers will receive login information for the Learning Management System. Current Club officers still have until September 30, 2021 to complete the training module required for honor and distinguished club recognition.
Remember to Choose Optimism and share your optimism with as many people as you can. I look forward to seeing you at the International Convention June 30-July 2, 2021.
