Senate and Assembly one-house budget overview
The Senate and Assembly one-house budgets were released over the weekend, with the Assembly proposing an 11% cost of living adjustment (COLA) for OPWDD, OMH & OASAS
providers, and the Senate proposing a 5.4% COLA for this year and a 5.4% COLA next year. Neither budget appears to include a DSP personal income tax credit. We will continue to analyze the budgets and update you as negotiations play out.

Ongoing budget advocacy
One-house budgets are out - time for the final push!
Go to cpstate.org/advocacy to ensure that legislators include the proposed workforce investments and urge them to include certain Mental Health and Education provisions to ensure New Yorkers with I/DD are afforded the best opportunities possible.
