We will be having a classroom competition where we will collect paper plates, napkins, toilet paper, paper towels, and Kleenex. The class that brings in the most items now till the end of the quarter will earn a special snack!

Building Resilience
Building resilience is an important part of parenting children who will become independent. Here are some tips on how injury can help build resilience.
  • Injury isn’t the same as safety.  A complete lack of risk is unhealthy; a child who grows up swaddled in bubble wrap isn’t well prepared for the real world.
  • Injury is inevitable. You can’t make any child injury free. You got hurt when you were young, so did your parents and your teachers. And so will your kids.
  • Injury is natural. Since injury is inevitable it is good that God made our bodies to recover.
  • Injury is important. Injury is bad but there’s a lot to be learned. When you get hurt you learn what your body can and can’t do. You learn about your mind and feelings, “I got hurt but I’m ok and things turned out alright.”

Blessings on your week,
