June 2026

Summer is here, bringing longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy time in and around the water. From backyard gatherings to local events and fairs, water plays an important role in keeping our community active, refreshed, and connected throughout the season.

In this month’s newsletter, we’re highlighting ways to stay hydrated and informed, sharing updates like our move toward paperless documents, and looking ahead to community favorites like the Harrison County Fair. We’re also rounding up upcoming events to help you make the most of the summer months ahead.

As always, our team is here working behind the scenes to provide the safe, reliable water service you depend on every day.

2025 Water Quality Report Now Available Online

Ramsey Water’s 2025 Water Quality Report is now available on our website. This annual report provides important information about the quality of your drinking water, including testing results, water sources, and details about how we work to deliver safe, reliable water to our community every day.

We encourage customers to review the report and learn more about the water system that serves their homes and businesses.

National Hydration Day

National Hydration Day, observed on June 23, is a reminder of just how important staying hydrated is to our overall health and well-being. Drinking enough water helps regulate body temperature, supports digestion, improves energy levels, and keeps our bodies functioning at their best.

Whether you’re working outdoors, exercising, or going about your daily routine, taking time to drink water throughout the day is a simple step that makes a big difference.

The Harrison County Fair Tradition Continues

The Harrison County Fair has been a treasured community tradition since 1860, when the first fair was held in Corydon.

Recognized as the oldest continuously held county fair at the same location in Indiana, the fair has celebrated agriculture, local talent, and family fun for generations. From livestock shows and exhibits to food, entertainment, and community gatherings, the fair continues to bring neighbors together and create lasting memories year after year.

This year’s festivities are just around the corner! The Livestock Fair begins on June 20, the parade takes place on June 21, and the regular fair officially begins on June 22. We look forward to another great year celebrating our community and its traditions.

Being Mindful of Air Gaps When Filling Pools

When filling a pool, it’s important to leave an air gap between the hose and the pool water. An air gap prevents pool water from flowing back into the drinking water system, helping protect against contamination from chemicals, dirt, or bacteria.

This simple step helps keep your household water supply safe while you enjoy your pool with peace of mind.
