Everyone!
Our Fall RCAHA show was held at Green Acres in conjunction with the SCPHA show. We offered main ring and sport horse classes. It was a great way to inexpensively gain show experience, qualify for Regionals, and earn Achievement Award points! SCPHA does almost monthly shows at Green Acres, and RCAHA would like to continue to offer Arabian classes at those shows a few times per year. Let us know what classes you need/like to see offered and then come out and support our efforts.
As many of you are probably aware, as of December 1, 2025, USEF is going to require that all horses competing at USEF Events must be microchipped. Even if you don’t show your horse, having them microchipped is a great idea, as horses can get loose, stolen, or in case of a brush fire, are often just turned loose. Writing your phone number in sharpie on a hoof, or braiding a tag into their mane is time consuming in an emergency, so a microchip is a great way to prove ownership to recover your horse.
RCAHA is going to sponsor a “Get chipped day” hosted at Green Acres Ranch. Dr. Doug Lawrence will be microchipping horses for anyone who’d like to get their horses done. Additional details (date, times, cost, etc.) will be provided soon. Watch your email, Facebook, and Instagram for further information.
Our annual RCAHA Christmas party will be held jointly with Green Acres on December 6th. We will be holding our annual election for our board members. President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director positions are available.
Also, if you are interested in representing RCAHA at the AHA convention as a delegate, we will be electing those positions as well. Please notify me or any other board member if you’re interested in running for any position.
Happy Halloween!
Until next time, I’m yours truly,
Debbie
