On Wednesday, May 18th, the City ceremonially broke ground on The Bark at Central Park. A centrally-located 4.4 acre community dog park. The Bark will include three separate enclosures that will allow large dogs and small dogs to play independently and off leash. Thank you to everyone who participated in the naming survey.
In 2019, the City was awarded a grant from the State of California, facilitated by Assemblymember James Ramos to fund the construction of this dog park. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the Fall of 2022.

ANIMAL CENTER - A HAPPY TAIL
|
|
A terrier puppy was brought into the Animal Center in December with a broken pelvis. Through the generosity of the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care Foundation, the Animal Center was able to have his injury repaired. The pup was taken care of for several weeks by our veterinary staff and then placed in a foster home to continue healing. In May, after five months of TLC, the pup returned to the Animal Center to be placed for adoption. We are happy to report that he found his fur-ever family shortly thereafter!
Stories like this exemplify the Animal Center’s mission of creating PAWsitive impact by enriching the lives of animals and people! The RC Animal Center is open for adoptions Wednesday-Saturday, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for those looking for a new family member!

FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL
IN RANCHO CUCAMONGA
|
|
For the safety of our community, ALL fireworks are ILLEGAL in Rancho Cucamonga. This year, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District is bringing back the program where residents may request a sign to be displayed in their front yard to help spread the word.
The Fire District has a limited amount of signs available and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to request a sign, please email RCFire@CityofRC.us and provide your name, home address, and phone number. A Fire Prevention staff member will contact you to arrange delivery or pick up.
The community's help is always appreciated in preventing the use of fireworks to help us reduce the number of injuries, wildfires, and unexpected traumatic noises.
Ways to Report Use of Fireworks:
-
Via the City's RC2GO Reporting Portal HERE
- During regular City Hall office hours of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. report by calling Fire District Headquarters at 1-909-477-2770
- Friday through Sunday and after hours between 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., report by calling 1-909-941-1488
The Rancho Cucamonga Fire District thanks you for partnering with us to make our #RCommUNITY safer.
