Local vigil
Hartford's 9th Annual Overdose Awareness Vigil was held on August 31 at Lyman Point Park. Three speakers shared their experiences with drug addiction, followed by the reading of over 600 names of overdose victims. A candle was lit for each name to symbolize their lasting light.

A night of big music
The Moonlighters, a big band from Hartland, VT, has been performing swing music since 1994. Including a vibrant brass section and three vocalists, they bring classics from artists like Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington to life.

Rotary speaker
Bill Black visited the Hanover Rotary Club to discuss Ranked Choice Voting, already in use in Maine and other states. He noted that the system could come to NH or VT, often resulting in more moderate candidates and fewer extremes.
