LAST CHANCE! HO Scale LRC Locomotive and Sets
Hey passenger fanatics! Just like the N scale cousins, the HO scale Bombardier LRC Sets, Locomotives and Passenger Cars also need a bit of a push. OCTOBER 15TH, 2026 is the new order deadline for this project. We also wanted to remind you that the locomotives feature upgraded electronics which includes the MoPower capacitor, speakers, wheelface profiles and much more!

Special Gift Boxes for the LRC
The LRC is such an important piece of Canadian railway history that we are pulling out all the stops with special gift boxes. For both VIA and Amtrak fans, our sets will be the ultimate celebration of these amazing trains. Each set will contain:

Our new run of the LRC locomotive features some significant improvements:
- Tooling improvements to ensure the body shell is dead straight
- MoPower capacitor system for reliable operation even on dirty track
- New LokSound V5 sound decoder with remastered sounds recorded from LRC 6921
- New high quality speakers with strong bass
- Improved reliable metal couplers
- Improved wheel face profile
In addition, the model features:
- Measured from preserved LRC 6921 and original blueprints
- Etched-metal grilles with radiator fan detail
- Full cab interior
- Full lighting package: headlights, ditch lights, marker lights, backup light, track lights and strobe light

Those HO Scale Trinity 6221 and 6241 Plastic Pellet Hoppers have an order deadline on August 17th!

| The samples have arrived! These are early samples so some features are subject to revision. | Plastic pellets are one of the most common commodities moved by railcars. Nearly all manifest trains have at least two or three pellet hoppers in their consists. Back in 1997, Trinity began production of a “high cube” 6,221 cu. ft. hopper design to haul these pellets. These supplemented older 4-bay cars as fleet sizes underwent a massive expansion. There are tens of thousands of the 6,221 and 6,241 Trinity cars running on the rails today and the 6,241 versions are still being built! | | |
The HO Scale Trinity 6221 and 6241 Pellet Hoppers feature:
- Two overall carbody designs: 6221 and 6241
- Multiple roof hatch styles and arrangements
- Multiple outlet gate designs
- Etched roof walks and end walkways

HO Scale Southern Pacific PC&F B-100-32 and B-100-34 Boxcar
The SP PC&F B-100-32 and B-100-34 Boxcars will finally close out their order deadline on August 17th. Before we go any further, let's go over why these cars are not the normal 40' boxcar once more:
- They are not from the 1950s! They are a modern car!
- They didn't just run on SP rails!
- They are STILL IN SERVICE!

| In the 1970s, the Southern Pacific needed a new fleet of boxcars to use in copper anode service. Instead of utilizing the normal 50' 6" frame that was the standard at the time, PC&F chose a 40' 6" design. 300 B-100-32 cars arrived in 1972 while 250 B-100-34 cars were delivered between 1973 and 1974. | |
Sacrilege at the La Mesa Model Railroad Club!
At least the caboose is correct on this train.
| After the Union Pacific merger in 1996, the B-100s were gradually sold off to secondary owners. Many went to the Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad (NOKL). In 2010 they were re-sold again to the Arizona Eastern Railway (AZER). Defying the odds and multiple owners, the AZER still operates these cars today! | The Arizona Eastern and NOKL cars look great in their weathered schemes. | |
The HO Scale B-100-32 and B-100-34 Boxcars feature:
- Separately applied metal grab irons
- Etched metal coupler platforms
- Scale sized draft gear with Hydra-Cushion underframe
- Full underbody brake rigging
- Real rubber air hoses
- Three door styles (Youngstown or Superior or... a different Youngstown!)

HO Scale Greenbrier Transverse Coil Car
The HO Scale Greenbrier Transverse Coil Car order deadline ends on August 17th, 2026. This is just a few days away and we're super excited to get these cars into production!

| The Transverse Coil Car are the newest coil cars on the market. Greenbrier has seemingly built another great car that roads continue to order. In fact, when we originally announced this car back in 2024, CSX had yet to place their order. They now have 300! There has also been fleets of these cars to change hands through leasing agreements or secondary sales. Ferromex now has a group of cars with AOK markings. As of mid-2026, Greenbrier has produced over 3,000 of these cars with more on the way. | |

HO Scale CEM and Standard Bilevel Commuter Cars
Our HO Scale Bilevel Commuter Cars deadline has been extended to NOVEMBER 16th, 2026. This is due to the tooled samples not arriving in enough time — in fact they still are not here, yet! Once they arrive, we'll be sure to get a ton of photos of the CEM cabs to show you. We really can't wait!

HO Scale Home Shops PC&F 4124 cu.ft. Boxcar
The Home Shops PC&F 4124 cu.ft. Boxcars also share the August 17th order deadline. These schemes represent three unique freelance roads, hauling copper anodes as well as a wide variety of other goods. Since they're freelance roads, the commodities can literally be anything you want!

The Copper State Railway's cars were built for, you guessed it, copper anode services. The desert blue and metallic‑copper paint scheme reflects CSR’s mining heritage. This 4124 cu.ft. Boxcar is a believable, era‑appropriate addition to any modern regional or freelance roster.
Hold on! Don't forget Copper State's fleet of GP38s we are also offering.
| | Línea Ferrocarril Golfo y Río Bravo which is known across the Tamaulipas and Veracruz as La Costera del Golfo. This road is a rugged coastal regional railroad within the Gulf of Mexico region. From Matamoros to Altamira and south toward Tuxpan and Poza Rica, the GRB moves sugarcane products, cement, grain, packaged agricultural goods and port‑related freight. To handle these dense, high‑volume loads, the railroad relies heavily on its fleet of 100‑ton PC&F 4124 boxcars. The 40' 6" size is perfect for those older docks and tight industrial spurs. | |
The Lost Dutchman Railroad operates in 1967 on branch lines spun off by the Southern Pacific. The PC&F 4124 Boxcar hauls a mix of cotton, citrus, copper and manufactured goods. These commodities were commonly seen traversing the rails between Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and the line’s northern extension toward Hayden Mills, Eden Perdu and Two Guns.

HO Scale Home Shops Greenbrier Coil Car
The Home Shops Greenbrier Coil Cars also have that August 17th order deadline. These coil cars feature four awesome freelance schemes as well as three America 250 designs.

The Arvada Western Railroad was established in 2004 in response to the BNSF Railway scaling back operations on the Golden Subdivision. In 2004, BNSF sold this
subdivision to the AWWR. Sur Rail was selected to operate and maintain the 70 mile line between Denver and Georgetown, along with a branch line to Black Hawk. These all-red coil cars look dazzling in a world where most freight cars have bland colors.
| The Cincinnati and Lake Erie Railroad is a product of the fossil fuel boom of the 1990s. Their operations center around Ohio, with a presence into Michigan, Indiana and Western Pennsylvania. This region has a rich steel presence, which is also known as the “rust belt”. The CLE moves plenty of steel products and these coil cars are just the car to get it done! | The “modern” Detroit, Toledo and Ironton is a true proto-lanced operation. Proto-lancing allows modelers to use the prototype for inspiration, while allowing for realistic “what-if” scenarios. The DT&I has had a cult following for many decades with their eclectic roster of locomotives and colorful schemes. The railroad's locale is centered around a steel-heavy region, so coil cars are a natural must-have! Plus they wear a real eye-catching orange scheme with that iconic DT&I logo. | |
The Virginian and Ohio is one of the most recognized freelance roads in model railroading. This freelance road has kept a modern theme throughout the many decades it has been in operation. In fact, SD70MACs are also being offered by us! The greenbrier coil cars fit right into that modern theme and look sharp in their solid blue scheme.
But wait, there's more! For America’s 250th birthday, the V&O celebrated with a fleet of cars wearing the patriotic red, white and blue. The V&O logo sits proudly inside of 13 stars to honor the original colonies.

HO Scale Canadian Light Rail Vehicle
Finally! The HO Scale Canadian Light Rail Vehicle (CLRV) has an order deadline on September 15th, 2026! We also have a decorated sample WITH sound. We're working on a video to show off all of the neat, iconic sounds as well as the lighting features these offer. We'll roll that out next month. In the meantime, check out some of photos of the sample.

Recently, we surprised many by announcing the HO Scale PGE and BC Rail Squamish Caboose. For many years only brass models existed of these cabooses, leaving modellers with two options: build their own or find a brass version. We're to see if we can get these cabooses into the tooling phase. You can make it happen!

Every layout needs some autoracks to transport those brand new automobiles around. We're hopeful to get our HO Scale NSC Whitehead and Kales 89' Open Autorack in both the bi-level and tri-level variations to the the tooling phase. Remember, this car has never been made in ready to run form except in brass!

Remember auto modellers, this is a conditional release. This is the most complex freight car we've made, and we're concerned that a lot of people can't tell these apart from other open autoracks that are already on the market, but are completely different.

Waterloo Railway Exposition — August 29th and 30th
The first annual Waterloo Railway Exposition kicks off on August 29th, which is just a few weeks away! Yes, we're super excited to be the main sponsor for this event, too! Freelance Focus: The Virginian and Ohio
W. Allen McClelland’s Virginian & Ohio helped define proto‑freelance model railroading. Theirs blue and white FA-1 and FB-1s became some of the railroad’s most recognizable power. The V&O’s 1960s and 1970s Appalachian operations remain a benchmark for realistic model railroad design.
