Welcome to the weekly update of the Rappahannock River District of the UMC
It's that time of year!

Heartwood Summer Wrap Up
This summer The Heartwood Center provided meals to an average of 400 children at our 4 distribution sites in Fauquier, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Caroline Counties. Much appreciation and gratitude to the churches that packed food bags and hosted sites (Bowling Green and Eastland); to the volunteers who prepared the distribution site and greeted and assisted the children and volunteers. What a joy to serve the Lord with you! This summer we held a week of youth mission camp with Brian Smith of New Hope as the director. What a great week it was!

The Heartwood Center Board is looking for new members as we grow and plan more ways of being in mission together in our communities.  If you are interested in serving on the Board please contact Chris Watson, president, Matt McBride, vice president, Gayle Porias, secretary or send an email to  heartwoodcenterfredericksburg@gmail.com .
