Ugandan Dancers & Musicians from Dance of Hope Visit LLCA!

Ugandan dancers and musicians from the Dance of Hope organization worked with all of our Raptors this week. They brought an incredible amount of life and energy into our school, and the students enjoyed learning new dances and songs. We are thankful for Raptor parents Herbert and Stella Kinobe for making this wonderful opportunity possible for our students!

LLCA, through the generosity of Mercy Chefs, will continue to serve free lunches for all students this week and next week. These meals have been nutritious and delicious, and we hope that they are a big help to our LLCA families. At this time we do not know the menu for the week, but please know the meals provide a full lunch.

LLCA Adventure Days for 6th - 12th Students

We have a few spots left for our last Adventure of the year! On May 9-10th we will be hiking and camping overnight in Pisgah National Forest. Students celebrated Earth Day this week in multiple ways during our Outdoor Ed and Nature Studies classes. A big SHOUT OUT to my 3rd graders and 8th graders for doing a marvelous job picking up trash and cleaning up our community.

Elementary classes read Earth Day books and made drawings and posters to celebrate the Earth and spread awareness of ways we can help the Earth every day!

School Lunches & Food Allergies

We are thankful to Mercy Chefs for feeding our students. PLEASE BE AWARE that if your student has FOOD ALLERGIES, we have no way of knowing what ingredients are used in the meals being prepared. Please work with your students teacher or have your student advocate for themselves and ask the servers if their allergen is in the food being served that day. If your student has severe allergies, the best thing is always to prepare their own meal.
