Honoring Memorial Day

As we approach Memorial Day, we take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the true cost of freedom. We wish all our families a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Wrapping Up the Year

with Raptor Pride

As we close out the school year, this final week has been a time of celebration, achievement, and reflection for our entire K–12 Raptor family. From our youngest learners finishing a year of growth to our seniors preparing to take their next big steps, we are proud of every student. We celebrated our graduates, recognized student accomplishments at awards ceremonies, and wrapped up End-of-Grade testing with pride.

Once a Raptor, Always a Raptor

Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2025! We are incredibly proud of our seniors for their hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments. As they leave the halls of LLCA and take their next steps we celebrate their achievements and the legacy they leave behind. Once a Raptor, always a Raptor. We wish them all the best as they SOAR into the future!

Senior Walk Through

Our graduating seniors took their final walk through the school halls this week, greeted with cheers and high-fives from students and staff. In a touching moment, they were escorted by our kindergarteners, symbolizing both a beginning and an end. It was a proud celebration of how far they’ve come—and a sweet reminder of where they started.

Celebrating Our Little Raptors!

Congratulations to our kindergarten Raptors! This special group of students has grown so much this year—learning, laughing, and building the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. We are so proud of their accomplishments and can’t wait to see all they will do as they spread their wings and soar into first grade.

Raptors Give Back

In a year filled with both challenges and meaningful moments, our students took time to give back and show appreciation for the community that supports us. Their acts of service, big and small, are a reminder of the power of kindness.

Raising Funds, Building Hope

The LLCA faculty, staff and students created a “Western NC Strong” T-shirt to inspire resilience and raise funds for rebuilding Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. On May 21, 2025, School Director Barbara Cohen and faculty members presented a donation check to Mayors Carol Pritchett and Peter O’Leary to support ongoing restoration efforts.

 Dear Raptor Families,

As we wrap up another school year, words can hardly express our deep gratitude for your unwavering commitment to Lake Lure Classical Academy. The challenges we’ve faced together have only strengthened our sense of unity and purpose. Your support, involvement, and dedication have been the cornerstone of our success—and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you for everything you do to uplift our students and enrich our school community. We wish you all a restful, joyful summer break and look forward to welcoming you back in the fall with renewed energy and bright smiles.

Finally, I would be remiss not to recognize and celebrate the remarkable Class of 2025. Your hard work, leadership, and spirit have left an indelible mark on LLCA. As you step into the next chapter of your journey, know that you will always be a part of the Raptor family. We are proud of you and excited to see what the future holds.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Mr. Fair

If you have a rising 7th grader

 OR 12th grader:

Your student will need vaccination updates for this coming school year!

Take the time this summer to get these immunizations updated!

If your child has a chronic health condition or takes medication, please take the time this summer to get their medication form or health history form updated! They need to be renewed each school year!

PCAC Update: Fundraising Highlights & Looking Ahead

Thank you to everyone who supported the K–5 May Calendar Fundraiser! Mrs. Triplett’s class was the first to complete the challenge, and second grade celebrated for being the fastest grade level to fill their calendars. Thanks to your generosity, the PCAC has raised over $2,000 from the calendar fundraiser and school dance—all going toward the new playground fund.

Our May meeting was postponed due to testing schedules, but we’re already looking ahead to an exciting 2025–26 school year. To learn how you can get involved, please reach out to Jasmine Hanline or email kcollette@llcharter.org
