Exciting News for Families!
This fall, LLCA launched our "Feed the Children" initiative to ensure that every student has access to a healthy, nutritious lunch, especially those families facing financial hardship. Thanks to an extraordinary pledge from an anonymous couple, LLCA has been presented with a $25,000 Matching Challenge!
This means that every dollar donated to the "Feed the Children" initiative between now and December 30 will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, until we reach the $25,000 goal. Your support for our students in need has never been more impactful—a $50 donation becomes $100 for our kids.
Simple Ways Your Family Can Help:
If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to capitalize on the matching opportunity, please make your check out to Lake Lure Classical Academy, note "Feed the Children" in the memo line, and mail it to: Lake Lure Classical Academy, POB 6, Lake Lure, NC 28746 or drop it off at the school. Or you can simply go to the school website and click the “Donate” tab. Be sure to use the Feed the Children option in the drop down list. Let's rally together to maximize this generous challenge and ensure no LLCA child goes hungry!
Thank you for supporting the well-being and academic focus of our students.
“If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” Mother Teresa

From Mr. Fair, Dean of Students
Building Stronger Connections for Student Success
At Lake Lure Classical Academy, we know that when families and teachers work together, students thrive—academically, socially, and behaviorally. Regular communication and check-ins between home and school help ensure that students feel supported and understood in every setting.
We encourage parents to stay connected not only by reaching out to teachers but also by using the Infinite Campus Portal to regularly monitor academic progress, attendance, and upcoming assignments. Staying informed allows families to celebrate achievements, address concerns early, and reinforce positive habits at home.
These consistent touchpoints—both in conversation and through the portal—build trust, reinforce expectations, and create a shared sense of accountability that helps students make positive choices and stay engaged in their learning.
Together, we can help every student feel seen, supported, and set up for success.

In Summer Ventures, you will live on a college campus for four weeks in the summer and conduct research around topics of your interest — while enjoying the company of like-minded peers. ‘Tis the season for colds, flu, Covid, RSV, Strep, and all the various holiday germs! Please be vigilant in instructing your students in the proper techniques of handwashing. Handwashing is the simplest, most important way to mitigate the spread of germs. If your child becomes ill, please keep them home until they are improving and are fever-free for 24hrs without the use of fever-reducing medication. If your child has an uncontrollable cough, please keep them home until they can control their cough or it is controlled with medication. Questions or concerns? I’m available at credmon@llcharter.org or at ext. 113.
