Mr. Fair: Dean of Students
Greetings Raptor Families,
It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the end of the first marking period! It has been a wonderful start to the school year, and I am so proud of the way our students have been working in their classrooms and around campus to meet the high academic and behavioral standards we’ve set together.
As a friendly reminder, all secondary students are required to keep a lock on their lockers at all times. As we transition into the second marking period, teachers and administrators will be following up with students who have not yet attended to this requirement. Please understand that this policy is in place to help ensure that students’ personal belongings remain safe and secure while on campus. The school cannot be responsible for items left in unlocked lockers. We appreciate your support in reminding your children to comply with this important safety measure.
We’re looking forward to a productive and positive second marking period as our students continue to grow academically and socially.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership — it truly makes a difference in the success of our students and our school community.

From Nurse Redmon
Fall is here, and it’s time to say Boo to the Flu! October is the best month to get your Flu Shot. This vaccine takes about two weeks to set up in your system. By getting your vaccine this month, your body is ready to fight the flu virus as it approaches in November. Contact your primary care doctor, or walk-in shots are available at our local Ingles pharmacy in Lake Lure.
The School Dentist will be here November 21st and 24th. Please visit myschooldentist.com and fill out your information or update your information if you would like for your child to be seen by the dentist. This is a great opportunity for dental cleanings and basic dental care from a wonderful pediatric team. Forms will be sent home with K-5 students. All 6-12 students will need to sign-up online. If you prefer to have a form, please reach out to the front office or contact me at credmon@llcharter.org
