From Mr. Fair, Dean of Students

At LLCA, we believe that the most powerful learning communities are built through strong partnerships between families and the school. When parents and guardians stay engaged—whether by attending school events, checking in on their student’s progress, or simply encouraging positive routines at home—it sends a powerful message: we’re all on the same team.

Family involvement doesn’t have to mean big time commitments. Simple actions—like asking your student about their day, reading school updates, or offering a word of encouragement—help reinforce the values and expectations we share. These consistent touches between home and school create the foundation for accountability, trust, and student success.

Together, we can continue to make LLCA a place where every student feels supported, known, and valued—not just by their teachers, but by the entire school community.

** Don’t forget to mark your calendars and join us for our next session of our Parent Engagement Series and Hot Dog Dinner scheduled for November 13th.

Outdoor Education from Mrs. Warner

Hello families! A little drizzle and mud didn’t stop our outdoor learning this week! We explored the beautiful fall colors, identified some of our local trees, and noticed some spectacular wildlife preparing for a big change!

Please remember to have students dress for the weather and to have a pair of waterproof shoes at school.

We love to have volunteers come on our adventures or guests teach about anything nature/outdoor/or environmental science related. If you’re interested in joining us for your child’s class time, please email me at ewarner@llcharter.org.

‘Tis the season for colds, flu, Covid, RSV, Strep, and all the various holiday germs! Please be vigilant in instructing your students in the proper techniques of handwashing. Handwashing is the simplest, most important way to mitigate the spread of germs. If your child becomes ill, please keep them home until they are improving and are fever-free for 24hrs without the use of fever-reducing medication. If your child has an uncontrollable cough, please keep them home until they can control their cough or it is controlled with medication. Questions or concerns? I’m available at credmon@llcharter.org or at ext. 113.
