Start With Hello Week is Here!

Wear green on Wednesday!

The Start With Hello program empowers students to reduce social isolation and strengthen school communities by teaching practical strategies for building peer relationships.

This coming week will be our "start with hello" week. We want to encourage everyone to remember to be kind and friendly to all. Everyone is encouraged to wear green on Wednesday, September 17th to celebrate this week.

Mrs. Erin Harper:

Teacher of the Year

We are incredibly proud to announce that Mrs. Harper is the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Harper is an amazing teacher. She works hard to engage her students meaningfully every day in lessons, and she challenges her students with rigor while also building strong relationships with them. Mrs. Harper is also our middle school lead teacher, and her leadership efforts are noted daily. As a Lake Lure resident, she is also not only fully committed to this school, but also to the community. Way to go, Mrs. Harper!

Thank you for reminding your students to be diligent with handwashing/sanitizing at school and maintaining proper respiratory hygiene. These simple measures make a difference for everyone and help mitigate the spread of viruses and bacteria. Germs can bring down a whole family one by one. That can be a huge burden on most families. Get in the habit now before the heavy respiratory season arrives!

Elementary Clothes Closet

Elementary Clothes Closet is accessible each week on Fridays from 8:00-9:00am in Mrs. Kristin’s Room. Donations are accepted at any time and can be dropped off at the front office or sent with  your student.
