Name a baby bat and support Lubee!
||(Variable flying fox 'Coral' and her twins)
Lubee Bat Conservancy is proud to announce the recent births of several pups, including
Variable flying fox twins. This is only the
second ever documented case of twins in this species. The first occurred at Lubee in 2009.
10 pups were born April 29 - August 18
- 4 male & 1 female Malayan flying fox
- 3 male & 2 female Variable flying fox
We'd like to
offer you the opportunity to name a bat and support Lubee's conservation & education programs.
We are seeking
pledges of $250 or greater, and as a thank you,
you will be able to name one of the pups. As they grow, your bat will be an ambassador for its species and the habitats we strive to protect.
To name the twins (both male) we are asking $500.
You will receive a personalized "Adopt-a-Bat" portfolio featuring a photo of the bat that you named and a certificate imprinted with the chosen name. All names and donors will be featured in an upcoming e-newsletter and on our
to arrange your special pledge and use Baby Bat in the subject line.
Deadline is Monday, October 9. Adopt-a-Bat gift portfolios will be mailed the following week.
