Chamber Networking Luncheon January 2019

Our monthly Networking Luncheon is a great opportunity to make connections with other business leaders in the area. Mark you calendar for the third Thursday of each month to attend!

Join us on January 17th for a presentation from Rathdrum Senior Center Director Rhonda Story. Whether or not you consider yourself a 'senior' now, you probably know someone who does, and YOU will be one yourself! Come find out about some of the current challenges our seniors face and how we can help and support them in our community.

Luncheon cost - $15.00 if registered online in advance. Non-Members are always welcome to attend. Cost for non-member luncheon is $18.00.

Please note - as of Dec 1, 2018, we will be enforcing our 'no-show' policy. If you register to attend and then do not cancel well in advance of the lunch date, you may be invoiced for your lunch.

Question & Answer Session after our luncheon! As some of you had some questions and concerns about our upcoming By-Law changes, we would like to invite all who are interested to stay after our luncheon for a brief question & answer forum. We will start that forum very shortly after our luncheon, so if you have concerns, please plan to stay for a few minutes after our meeting.

An Invitation from The City of Rathdrum

The City of Rathdrum will be hosting an Open House for the citizens of Rathdrum on January 22 at 6:00 pm. The Open House will be held at Lakeland High School in the Commons area.

We would like to hear your opinions to help shape the future of the City of Rathdrum as well as share information on current projects and ideas. During the Open House you will have an opportunity to provide your input towards things like traffic improvements, future parks and to get involved in the future comprehensive plan process that will help shape the future of Rathdrum.

We will also provide information on the successes of the past year as well as some of the things that the City has been working on in preparation for the future.

We will have information on:

· Rathdrum Mountain, what has been accomplished and the plan for 2019.

· Our current Transportation Plan

· Our current Parks Plan

· The City of Rathdrum and Lakeland School District School Resource Officer

· Information from the City Building Department

· Information on the 2020 Census

· Visioning Rathdrum Comprehensive Plan Update

From the Chamber Director's Desk

I hope you all had a Happy Holiday celebration with your family, friends and loved ones. As we start off this new year, I am so looking forward to the changes and growth to our Rathdrum Chamber and our community in 2019.

Because our community has so much going on, I would like to invite each of you to consider attending the City Open House on January 22nd at Lakeland High School at 6 PM, in the commons area (invite from City Administration above). There will be informational booths and our mayor and city officials will be there to talk about what is happening in our Rathdrum area. Since this is an informal type of event, this will be a GREAT opportunity to speak with the Council members and city administration team about what you see as possibilities in the coming years. Because we are still a small community with that "hometown feel", we have the opportunity to really converse with those decision makers. Please come and share your ideas, concerns and suggestions for our future.
