Pre-Order Hot Lunch
Lunch orders need to be placed by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday the week before to receive the $4.50 pre-order price.

All lunch menus and pre-order forms are available at thesummitprep.org/lunch.

Reporting COVID-19 Exposure Procedure
If you or someone in your household is notified, or if you suspect, that you have been exposed to COVID-19, please email administration at frontdesk@thesummitprep.org. An administrator will contact you during school hours to discuss necessary precautions to follow before returning to the classroom and/or transitioning to Hybrid Learning.

Please stay home.

Administration will maintain communication with your family and notify the appropriate personnel and families if someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19. This information is considered confidential, and your privacy will be maintained in all such communications.

Please contact your primary care provider or the Springfield-Greene County Health Department for more information on COVID-19 and for recommendations on testing and quarantine.

The 2020-2021 Annual Campaign for the Raven Fund is underway! This year, every pledge you make during this first week of the campaign enters you into a drawing to win some fun Summit swag like umbrellas, face masks, and more!

Like Film Available 12/3-12/4
Technology is here to stay. By understanding the effects of technology and social media on the brain, on our lives, and on our civilization, we can learn how to navigate it more safely together. To shed light on this, The Summit is offering a complimentary screening of the IndieFlix original documentary Like to our community. This film is appropriate for ages 10 and up and is about “finding balance in a digital world.” 

The link to view this documentary will be emailed to all Summit families on December 3rd and will be active for 2 days. Students in grades 4-12 will have an opportunity to view this documentary with their class on December 3rd or 4th. We encourage families to take the time to watch this documentary, and we hope it offers an opportunity to open up the lines of communication in regards to social media and its impact on our lives.

Summit Parent Organization
Barnes & Noble Bookfair 12/5-12/12
The Barnes & Noble Bookfair starts this Saturday, December 5th! This year, the bookfair will be available in-store and online December 5th-12th.

Any purchase (book, toy, game, etc.) from Barnes & Noble during the bookfair will go toward benefiting The Summit, so if you're planning any holiday shopping, just stop on by this Saturday or shop online!

Simply use the code to the right when checking out to have your purchases support The Summit. The code can be reused as many times as you like between December 5th and 12th!
SPO Meeting Thursday 12/10
All Summit parents/guardians are invited to the next Summit Parent Organization (SPO) meeting on Thursday, December 10th at 9:00 a.m. at La Quinta Inn & Suites, located at 2535 S. Campbell (virtual option available).

Introducing Head of School for a Day, Mr. Hudson!
$2 Free Choice Dress Out Day on 12/4
This Friday, December 4th, The Summit will have a special guest administrator... Hudson M. (7th Grade) will be taking over as Head of School! Hudson won the opportunity to be Head of School for a Day at last year's Gala, and this Friday, he's in charge.

Hudson has big plans for The Summit on Friday, including a karate demonstration and an optional $2 uniform buyout for students to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This will be a free choice dress out day - pajamas, dress like a pirate, you choose! Students may also dress in their Summit uniforms or regular Friday spirit wear at no charge.

Be sure to wave at Mr. Hudson in carline on Friday!
Junior Girl Scouts Savannah C. (4th), Avery R. (5th), and Brooklyn L. (5th) kicked off their collection drive for the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri by sponsoring a Uniform Buyout Day on November 19th.
They raised $225.00 to support local shelter animals!
Girl Scouts Humane Society Collection Drive
The Summit Junior Girl Scouts will be collecting donation items for the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri until Friday, December 18th.

To donate to the collection drive, please drop your items off at carline or bring them to the lobby vestibule. Each class will have a box to collect donations, and the class that collects the most will receive a Krispy Kreme donut party!

Enter Mizzou's Original Music Competition!
At The Summit, we know we have creative kids, savvy songwriters, and budding composers in our classrooms. The Creating Original Music Project (COMP) at the University of Missouri School of Music wants to hear your voices! They are seeking songs and compositions in any genre by K-12 students in Missouri. Both winners and their schools will receive cash prizes, and the winners' music will be performed at our annual COMP festival at Mizzou on April 24, 2021*.

*Because the COVID pandemic makes future conditions difficult to predict, we will have several contingent plans for the COMP Festival. Those plans may include (but are not limited to) online-only events, a limited in-person experience, or some combination of online and in-person activities. 

We would love for our students to participate in this unique program!

Submissions are due by January 22, 2021.
