Big news! The Summit has purchased the adjacent property at 216 Walnut Lawn! This property will allow for future growth opportunities as we look ahead at our strategic goals for our students today, tomorrow, and in the years to come.

On behalf of The Summit community of students, families, faculty, administration, and staff, we want to say a big, heartfelt thank you to Youngblood Nissan Kia for their extremely generous donation and support to fund independent education in the Ozarks!

SPO Needs Your Loose Change!
One, two, three, four, we declare a coin war!

We are excited to announce our first annual coin drive! Please join us in our efforts to raise money for The Summit Parent Organization. SPO uses these funds to support your school in many different ways. Each class will be provided with a large container to store their coins. The coin drive will run through the month of January, giving you plenty of time to round up all of that loose change from your couch cushions! Classrooms will get a chance to have a friendly competition with one another, and the kids will love to watch their jars fill up!

The prize? A donut party and traveling trophy for the class with the most coins!

For questions, please contact spo@thesummitprep.org.

Congratulations to The Summit's all-female LEGO Robotics team, the Rainbow Ravens, for winning the Innovation Project Award at Central Missouri FIRST LEGO League 36 Team Championship in Osage Beach last Saturday! This award is given to a team that "utilizes diverse resources for their Innovation Project to help them gain a comprehensive understanding of their problem, have a creative, well-researched solution, and effectively communicate their findings to judges and the community."

The Rainbow Ravens team is composed of Summit 7th graders (pictured top, left to right) Sydney W., Emily C., Cadence G., and Leah M. (and their LEGO robot: Petunia).

"I am so proud of [these] amazing young ladies! This team did an amazing job. I am happy to be a part of such a great team and community," said Rob Powers, Summit faculty and LEGO Robotics sponsor.

We agree, Mr. Powers! Congratulations, future STEM leaders!
