All School Service Day, Friday March 23rd

The Summit will have our All School Day of Service (Ravens Reach Out Day) this Friday, March 23rd. This year our school is supporting the Watershed Center. All parents should have received an email from Amy Maas detailing their class specific information about Friday's Service Day.

Friday will be a free dress day. Students do NOT need to wear Summit Spirit Wear or Summit Uniforms (there is no cost to dress out). We would highly encourage students (or anyone planning to volunteer with us this day) to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and/or muddy.

If you have any questions please call the school or email Amy Maas directly.
2018 Annual Campaign for the Raven Fund
We've passed the halfway point!

Moving Towards Our Goals
Goal: $40,000
Total Pledged/Received to Date:  $20,375.00
All that's left: $19,625.00

Goal: 100% Family Participation
Participation to Date: 22%

The Summit, like other independent schools, must raise funds every year to help meet operating costs, since tuition alone never covers the full cost of an independent school education. Through this support, The Summit is able to:
  • Attract and retain the most talented faculty
  • Provide classroom and learning resources to afford students best-practice learning opportunities
  • Maintain an attractive, welcoming, and safe environment
  • Enhance art, music, physical education, Spanish language, and sports programs

Summit Shout Outs
Summit Math Students are Headed to State!
Eight Summit 4th-6th graders, who qualified at either October or March rounds, competed at the Regional MCTM Math Competition on Saturday, March 10th. Two students are now headed for the State Competition: Fourth grader Grayson S. placed 4th on the Sprint test, and also placed 4th overall out of all participating 4th graders. Middle Schooler Chloe S. placed 2nd on the Target test, and also placed 4th overall out of all participating 6th graders.

The team consisting of Chloe S, Darla B, Cadence G, and Leah M placed 6th overall, and while only the top four teams automatically qualify, depending on the results of all regional competitions (April 14th), their sweepstakes score could potentially still qualify them for State. Over 211 students around the region competed at the regional competition.

Summit Freshman Lexi W. finished fifth out of 60 high school competitors at the Ozark NSDA District Tournament on Saturday, March 10th. Lexi made it to the final round of Districts in Original Oratory. The district tournament lasted three days.
