Hello Summer Break!
Raven Report: May 20, 2020
Annual Parent Survey from Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees values the input of our Summit community. The Board would like all Summit parents to take the time to complete our annual Summit Parent Satisfaction Survey covering your thoughts on the entire 2019-2020 school year. Both parents/guardians are welcome to complete the survey, or one per household.

This anonymous survey should take less than 5 minutes and will help as we continue planning for the 2020-2021 school year.
Communications Plans for Summer 2020

As we transition to the summer months, we want to share our communication plans with our community. Starting next week, the Raven Report will be released every two weeks to The Summit community. The Monday Head of School updates will also be sent monthly, instead of weekly.

As always, if there is urgent information to share with our community, we will notify everyone immediately via email and, if necessary, a text message.

If you have any questions or need anything over the summer, do not hesitate to contact administration, via email, at any time!

Save the Date for the Class of 2020's Graduation Ceremony

This year, Summit's graduation will be held on Tuesday, July 14th. We look forward to celebrating our seniors and their achievements with their families.

Additional details will be released to The Summit community in the coming weeks.

How to Make the Best Wand for Big Bubbles!
(information from Science Buddies)

Have you ever tried to blow a bubble, and no matter how hard you try, the bubble just will not form? Why does this happen? Why do bubbles form at all, and why is it harder to blow bubbles sometimes? In this activity, you will explore the limits of how big bubbles can get and learn how to make a bubble wand of your own!

You will need:
  • Two dowel rods (at least ½" diameter works best)
  • Two screw eyes (a closed loop with a threaded base) that can screw onto the dowel rods
  • Yarn or baker's twine (at least 18 feet or 6 meters)
  • A washer
  • Bubble solution
  • A bucket or large container to hold bubble solution
  • Outdoor area with space to run!
  • An adult helper
  • One or two measuring tapes (a total length of at least 3 meters)
For instructions on how to complete your bubble wand, check out this link on the Science Buddies website!

The Summit Track has Stripes

This week, The Summit track update was completed! The repaved track now has 3 lanes and is a complete 400 M distance per lap. We can't wait to have our athletes and students running around the backyard again! Thank you to our community of donors for making this backyard upgrade a reality!
