Raven Report: October 21, 2020
Thank you, Dr. Heet, for your calm & composed leadership during these tumultuous times.

The Summit is built on a strong foundation of community, and we are so grateful for Dr. Heet and her commitment to independent education in the Ozarks and for providing a safe learning environment for our students and faculty. We are looking forward to many more years of growing and learning with Dr. Heet!

High School Girls Swimming Starts 11/1
High School Girls Swimming starts November 1st!

The Summit has a cooperative sponsorship with New Covenant Academy for our athletes to swim as members of the NCA team. It is a great way to meet new friends and learn about swimming. No experience necessary!

See the following Swim Meet Schedule and information on signing up for text message alerts. All swimmers must have a sports physical completed before the first day of practice. Physical forms for returning athletes and new athletes are attached and can be turned in to Coach Miller. Physicals are good for 2 years if no medical changes have occurred, and the annual requirement must be updated every school year.

If you're interested in signing up for HS Girls Swimming, please contact Alex Miller, Swim Coach.
Scholastic Book Fair
This year, the Scholastic Book Fair will be online! The Summit’s Book Fair will be held from November 1st-14th. A store link will be emailed to families and posted in the Raven Report. Books will be mailed to your home within 48 hours of ordering.

To advertise our Book Fair this year, we’d like to encourage our Summit family to make short commercials and/or book reviews that we can share with the community each day during the Book Fair.

Videos should be less than one minute in length and submitted by October 26th.

Here’s your opportunity to shine! Make your commercial as funny and creative as you want. Or make a book review of one of your favorite books that’s available through the Book Fair; you might inspire others to love it as much as you do!
Summit Parent Organization
SPO Meeting Thursday 10/29
All Summit parents/guardians are invited to the next Summit Parent Organization (SPO) meeting on Thursday, October 29th at 9:00 a.m. in The Summit's Big Backyard (virtual option available).

If you plan on attending, please contact SPO Exec at spo@thesummitprep.org to RSVP and/or to receive the Zoom link. All attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chair and enter through the east gate (by the church) where you will receive a temperature check.
Around Campus
Meet Mr. Seed!
Mr. Mike loves helping the Early Learners carve their classroom pumpkin each year! We all love that Mr. Mike helps keep us safe every day, and that includes a safe pumpkin carving demonstration.

Students enjoyed getting to help prepare their pumpkin by removing the squishy seeds, which helped them come up with the perfect pumpkin name: Mr. Seed!

Thank you, Mr. Mike!
Reminder: Layer Up for Fall Weather!
Fall is officially here! We have been fortunate with many beautiful mild days this school year, and we plan to continue spending as much time as possible outside as weather permits.

Please send jackets, hats, and gloves as appropriate for cooler weather with your children, so we can all stay bundled and warm while we learn and play outside, like Mrs. Kimmons!
