STEM Connection

In honor of National Candy Corn Day (October 30th), The Summit fourth graders partook in a STEM challenge using only 100 toothpicks and one cup of candy corn. The goal was to create the tallest free-standing structure in 15 minutes using only the materials provided. The challenge was more difficult than they first imagined! The class soon found out that candy corn is not a stable building material. After much trial and error, the class succeeded in building several creative candy corn towers!
