Revised Raystown Lake Master Plan

Release of the revised Master Plan marks the end of a three-year effort to update the existing Plan and will guide the future 15-25 years of management at Raystown Lake.

Online: You’ll find the completed Master Plan on our project website at: https://www.nab.usace.army.mil/raystown-master-plan-revision/

In-person: You’ll find the revised Master Plan in print-form at the Raystown Lake Visitors Center, 6145 Seven Points Road, Hesston, PA 16647. Please remember that if you choose to view the plan in person, facial coverings are required in federal buildings.

The entirety of the completed Master Plan is hundreds of pages and we recognize that reading all of those pages may not be feasible and/or preferred reading for some. So we’ve made a “highlights” of the plan available for everyone to view along with the Plan. Our goal with the highlights of the final Plan are to make it easier for anyone to get an overall look at the Plan and provide a roadmap to where these pieces of information can be found within the revised Plan.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out through the project mailbox at RaystownMPRevision@usace.army.mil and share this update with anyone else interested. This update along with the shareable .pdf are also located on our project webpage at: https://www.nab.usace.army.mil/raystown-master-plan-revision/.

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College
Workforce Development Symposium
Wednesday, May 19 from 8:00-10:00AM
Keynote Speaker: Pennsylvania’s Deputy Secretary Sheila Ireland

The mission of a community college is multifaceted but includes:
  • Collaborating and partnering with local businesses, industries, and community organizations.
  • Identifying and providing workforce training opportunities and academic programs that are needed to support local economic growth.

We recognize at Penn Highlands that your organization is also focused on those same charges: collaboration and providing workforce training opportunities. You do excellent work and our communities benefit from your collective efforts.

To best serve our communities, the College will be hosting a virtual Workforce Development Symposium where we are inviting business, industry and community leaders for a discussion on how Penn Highlands can best serve our region. Specifically, we would like to identify:
  • Technical training opportunities that aren’t currently offered locally.
  • Soft skill training opportunities.
  • Customized short-term certificates and two-year degree programs that can quickly provide skilled labor to our businesses and industries.
  • Mutually beneficial partnerships, synergistic in nature, that can boost our overall effectiveness.

Get Help from the Experts at My Benefit Advisor

It’s not too late to get health insurance or change plans!

On February 15, the Federal and State Marketplaces began accepting applications for Individual and Family health insurance coverage under the COVID-19 Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

This enrollment period is scheduled to last until May 15, 2021.

Most Health Insurance Companies will accept off-exchange applications as well for those not needing or wanting to go through the marketplace. Because everyone is impacted by COVID-19 in some way, anyone who is not covered by an employer sponsored plan is eligible to purchase a new plan.

My Benefit Advisor offers expert help & guidance in choosing health insurance coverage whether purchasing on or off the marketplace.

The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce offers its members access to My Benefit Advisor as a solution for employee benefits, including voluntary offerings. For more information about My Benefit Advisor, visit our website at hccc.mybenefitadvisor.com or contact Mycal Jones at (800) 377-3539.
