ID Badge Expectations
Good Afternoon Razorbacks,

Effective Monday December 6, 2021, the following policy will go into effect.

ID Badge Expectations
All Hogg Middle School students will be required to wear their photo ID badges every day.  These badges will help us with student safety and security. Visible photo identification helps each campus ensure that everyone in the building is authorized to be on that campus, both students and staff. In addition, the ID badges can be used in the cafeteria and library. All students must wear their ID Badge on a lanyard around their neck, so it is always visible when on school grounds. No exceptions. ID badges should not be kept in backpacks or in pockets.  The ID badges were issued to all students.  There is no cost to students for the original ID badge, but should a student lose or damage his/her badge, there will be a replacement fee.

Replacement Fees
$2 – Lanyards (Students may use their own lanyard)
$1 - Temporary ID Badge
$5 – Replacement ID Badge

Temporary ID Badges
If a student reports to school without an ID Badge, they will report to office 101 through the front of the school to purchase a replacement. Students will be charged $1 for a temporary ID. Students who are not able to purchase a replacement or temporary ID will have lunch detention. If a student does not attend lunch detention, they will be assigned after-school detention.

Thank you for making safety a priority. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Student of the Week: Alessandra Munneke

Alessandra Munneke, 8th Grader at Hogg Middle School, is our Student of the Week because she exhibits the IB Learner Trait of Caring. She says that she always tries to help people when they are down and comfort people when they need it most. Alessandra was born in Australia but has lived in Houston for most of her life. She enjoys skateboarding, playing basketball, and soccer. Needless to say she was very surprised at first when she heard she was student of the week. If you know Alessandra, please give a big congratulations!
Staff of the Week: Ms. Torres aka Coco
Our staff member of the week is one of our custodians- Maria Torres! Some know her as Ms. Coco. She was chosen Staff of the Week because she exhibits the IB Trait of Caring. Maria was originally born in Mexico and moved here around 30 years ago. She said she enjoys spending time with her children and family. “I love my job,” she said.

With your help, we were able to donate over 1,300 items!!! Search of Houston was eternally grateful and astonished by the way you stepped up! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! CIS Support Manager News
Ms. Singleton has been with Hogg for the last four years. During that time she has endeared herself to the Hogg Community through her steadfast, calm, and kind demeanor. Her dedication to providing assistance to students, families, faculty, staff and the Heights Community has fostered trusted connections and relationships that will be sorely missed. We appreciate the time she devoted to Hogg and wish all the best for her in her next adventure. You can still reach Ms. Singleton at her email address [email protected]
Ms. Hernandez will be replacing Ms. Singleton starting, Monday, December 6th. She attended Hogg as a middle schooler, so she's already a part of our Razorback Family. It will take some time to reestablish her roots, so be sure to welcome her when you see her!

Donations Wanted for Hogg Library
