1 Book 1 School for 2019-2020!

We are so excited! Alan Gratz is coming to Hogg Middle School February 21, 2019! His book,
Refugee,
is Hogg’s 1 Book 1 School book for the upcoming school year.
Refugee
, a poignant novel about the plight of 3 refugees, was on the New York Times Bestselling list for over a year. Page-turning, heartrending and perfect for our IB curriculum, Hogg can’t wait to share this timely topic and story with its students. Students will participate in engaging activities throughout the school year, leading up to the author event and Literacy Night.
Interested in helping the Hogg Librarians plan for these events? Join them
July 9th, 11:00 AM in the Hogg Library
.
If you have a refugee organization contact, or know someone willing to share a refugee story, email Mary Chance
[email protected].
Put the Library Work Day on your calendar!
Save the Date - August 6th! Come anytime between 8:00 and 4:00 to help the Hogg Librarians get the library read for the new school year!
