What a fabulous parade Friday, May 29th! Thank you Ms. Roque and Ms. Segovia for planning our graduation. Thank you Ms. Cavazos, Ms. Sevilla, and Ms. Ramirez for getting everything ready for the event! Thank you Ms. Martha our Hogg Decorator and her team of parents, who always make our kids feel special! Thank you Mr. Davis for making the slideshow. Thank you Ms. Parker for pulling the slides together. Thank you 8th grade teachers for everything you did this year to make virtual learning a success, and thank you Hogg Eighth Graders for exemplifying the IB trait of flexibility and embracing change!
8 th  Grade Dues: Update!

If you paid 8th grade dues on School Pay, those transactions were processed earlier this week. Payments will come from the district via check in the nest few weeks.

Social Justice at Hogg

Hogg 7th and 8th graders are well versed in social justice between 7th grade's Activism Fair and 8th grade's Just Mercy Unit. More about this to come.

This month, consider talking to your middle schooler about a couple of events taking place in June.

The Emancipation Park Conservancy has fun virtual live events planned, such as Soul Food cooking, announcement of recycling program, DJ to dance and more! Check it out here.

On June 5th, the Brown Book Shelf hosted a rally created by Kwame Alexander , Jacqueline Woodson and Jason Reynolds. Many uplifting words were shared on this YouTube platform. The first hour is dedicated to a young audience and the last to adults.
