Hale Farm and Village 3rd-5th

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders went to Hale Farm and Village in November.  They had a wonderful time learning about early settlers and their culture.

As you can see, it was a beautiful day! We had some wonderful parent volunteers who helped the teachers and the students enjoy their special trip.

Ms. Williams-- is a graduate of the Ohio State University where she played soccer for three years. She enjoys running, playing/coaching soccer, and reading in her free time. Ms. Williams has an 8-year-old shih tzu named Bella that goes running with her daily and keeps her on her toes. She loves teaching and hopes to continue to teach for many more years to come.
Miss Williams started with us in November and has been an excellent addition to our reading enrichment team. She is working as a Title I reading teacher for grades K-8 and reading enrichment teacher for grades K-3.

Mr. Taddeo--went  to John Carroll University where he played football and received his physical education degree. He enjoys lifting weights and coaches three sports, including high school football. He hopes to one day coach at the Divison I college level or open his own gym. Mr. Taddeo joined us in November and has already proven to be a wonderful addition to the team.  He is working as a physical and health education instructor for K-5th grades.  He is also helping monitor our Measuring Up Live classes.

Home Visits

Home visits give teachers, administrators and parents a chance to get to know each other and build a strong home/school relationship.  We'd love to stop by for a few minutes, after-school and get to know your family better.  We would also love to share all the exciting events and activities we have this year.  We can meet at your home or a more neutral location, such as the local McDonald's. Schedule a home visit with the office today!
Reading Improvement Plans-K-3

If you have a child in K-3, please stop by the AP of Academics office and sign their reading improvement plan.  All kinders and 3rd graders have a plan. If you received an off-track notice, your child also has a reading plan in 1st or 2nd grade.  Check with your child's teacher if you are unsure.  These plans are in place to give targeted help to our students and ensure they are proficient in reading for the 3rd grade guarantee

4th Grade Field Trip--Cuyahoga Valley National Park

December, 13th, Ms. Fries and Mr. Taddeo took a group of 4th graders to a special presentation at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  This is a free field trip that encourages students to get out and play in our national parks.  The students had a great time--even if it was a little chilly!  Brrrrr!
