Red Lodge Area Chamber of Commerce
Reopening Red Lodge
Our community of Red Lodge is experiencing another challenging time with the flooding of Rock Creek, the closing of the Beartooth Highway and Yellowstone National Park.
The past few days have demonstrated the resiliency and strength of our community.
Our shops, restaurants, and lodging partners are reopening, and we are getting back to the business of welcoming visitors to our lovely town.
Sherry Weamer, Executive Director of the Red Lodge Area Chamber has been working behind the scenes speaking to national news outlets to communicate the importance of people visiting Red Lodge and the economic hardship businesses will face with the challenge of Yellowstone National Park and the Beartooth Highway being closed.
That said, events and activities will be important economic drivers. Red Lodge is a destination! Visitors can enjoy a scenic horseback ride, tour the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, and fish our now receded waterways. The Red Lodge Songwriters Festival (June 24th – 26th) will be the first upcoming event followed by the Home of Champions Rodeo (July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) with Extreme Bulls and Ladies Breakaway Roping (July 1st), 28th Annual Beartooth Rally (July 14th – 17th), and Red Lodge Car Show (July 22nd – 24th).
Please contact The Red Lodge Area Chamber of Commerce with any questions and for more information at 406 446-1718.
Come hell or high water, Red Lodge rises!
