Executive Director Message
Jill Eidukas
Chambers of commerce provide access to valuable resources, discounts, and relationships that help businesses save money and market their products. Joining a chamber of commerce can boost sales and significantly improve a business’ visibility and credibility. A chamber can support professional development, increase business contacts, and expand your network.
To be successful, business owners and employees must spend a significant amount of time interacting with others, communicating information, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and managing conflict. In my opinion communication is the most important social skill you can polish. These skills can be practiced at chamber networking events.
There is a myriad of benefits when you join the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. One great benefit is the ability to leave materials about your business at the Chamber table at the Lisle French Market. The Lisle French Market runs each Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. starting from Saturday, May 13th through October 14th.
Another Chamber benefit is that you can take part in the Chamber Committees. There are committees for events (Golf Outing, Lisle Uncorked, Scholarship, and Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K) as well as the Ambassador, Government Affairs and LINCT (Leadership In Networking Committee Team) Committees. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact Claudine for dates and times for those meetings.
The Lisle Area Chamber Scholarship Committee will be meeting to review and choose the scholarships given out each year to deserving high school students. The Committee will be meeting in April. The Chamber will be giving out 3 - $500 scholarships. If you are interested in joining the Scholarship Committee, please contact us. You can find the scholarship application on our website (insert here). These applications have been sent to the high school guidance counselors as well. The requirements are that the student must either be a student of a Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce member and/or have a residence in the 60532 zip code.
The Chamber has a newer Facebook page, please click on the Facebook icon below to like, and follow our page to stay up to date on events and Chamber happenings.
