Teams from Evonik, CoStar Group, and Crater Chapter Warrant Officers Association provided much-needed improvements to three homes in Ettrick and Petersburg this month.
Volunteers painted the interiors of homes, built new shed doors, cleared out dumpsters' worth of debris, installed flooring, landscaped, and made many other improvements to increase home health and safety for families.
In addition, volunteers from People's Advantage Credit Union and Seven Street Christian Church pruned bushes, painted benches and picnic tables, and beautified McKenzie Street Park and Ettrick United Methodist Church.
One homeowner, Ms. Pam, was previously served through our Critical Home Repair Program and received a new roof, wheelchair ramp, and carport. Volunteers from CoStar group mowed her yard, painted the carport, planted flowers, and even built a new dog house!
Next week, Mount Vernon Baptist Church volunteers will complete repairs for another Ettrick family. Our AdvanSix team will assist a family in Hopewell with significant home improvements the following week.
Thanks to all of our volunteers and supporters who make Fall Fix-Up possible!
