ReCoverCA HBA Updates for Lenders

Program Documents Updated

Updated program documents for both the 2023/24 Flood Allocation and the 2017 and 2018 Fire Allocations of the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance (DR-HBA) Program are now available in the Lender Participation Guide, on the GSFA website.


Updates include:

  • Updated Term Sheets: Revised to reflect the updated U.S. Bank fee.
  • New Form Added: DR-HBA018 – Conflict of Interest Affidavit.
  • Updated Form: DR-HBA002 Program Application and Affidavit revised to allow additional applicants.
  • Updated Checklists: Document order corrected and items aligned with the appropriate phase.
  • All Forms Updated: Redundant information removed.


These updates are effective immediately and must be used for all new reservations.

Reminder: 2017 and 2018 Fire Recovery Allocations Still Available

Funding remains available under the 2017 and 2018 Fire Recovery Allocations of the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance (DR-HBA) Program. These allocations provide up to $350,000 per household to help low- to moderate-income survivors of the 2017 and 2018 wildfires purchase a home in a safer area of California.
