A Portland Art Consignment Gallery
All Your Favorite Artists in One Place For Less
June 2023 Update
Dear ReSaleArt customers and consignors, I have come to a point in my life where I have decided to retire, and I’m thrilled to announce that I have chosen to sell ReSaleArt to X Gallery. In case you have not met X Gallery yet, I am happy to introduce them. X Gallery offers collection management services including storage, local transport, inventory and artist services, and they are adding art sales to their services and incorporating ReSaleArt into their business. I am confident that they have the vision to build on my existing foundation and take ReSaleArt to the next level.

My heartfelt thanks goes out to you for your support of ReSaleArt these past 20 years. Your loyalty and trust has been a huge factor in my success and I am forever grateful for it. Erin, Brad, and Val will continue to be at ReSaleArt to help with consignments and sales, and now X Gallery co-owner Ashton Hull will take over the team. Under her leadership, your consignment accounts will be in capable hands. The goal is to keep business as usual, and Ashton looks forward to your support in the years to come. Ashton is already onsite at ReSaleArt, so come by and say hello!

I will be helping with the transition through July 31, 2023. I am excited by this next chapter for me, and for ReSaleArt and hope you will be too. I have been involved in the Portland art community my entire adult life and I plan to continue to be involved in the arts – just in a different capacity – and I look forward to seeing you around town. Thanks again, Bev Hecht-Levy

Art in the Home. The perception of art and its aesthetic appeal can vary depending on the context in which it is viewed. Here are five reasons why art may appear more visually pleasing in a person’s home:

1.When art is displayed in a person’s home, it becomes an integral part of their living space. 2. In a home setting, the size of the artwork can be chosen to fit the available wall space, ensuring proper proportion and visual balance. 3. In a person’s home, lighting can be customized to accentuate the artwork’s features and create the desired ambiance. 4. Living with art allows for prolonged exposure, providing an opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation for the artwork over time. 5. By showcasing art in the home, it becomes a part of a larger narrative, reflecting the homeowner’s experiences, travels, and interests.

The experience of viewing art is subjective. The perceived beauty of art can vary based on personal preferences and the environment in which it is displayed. The images in this newsletter show some examples of artwork from ReSaleArt that has been placed in our customer’s homes.
Check out our New Arrivals button below. And on the website! Just in the last month we have received over 100 pieces of new to you art in our gallery and all of them (which haven't sold) are under the New Arrivals button. We update the website as art comes into the gallery, and many of our clients check this button daily!
Don't Forget, Everything We Have is Online!
Remember you can browse our website from home, as all our artwork is online and so you can shop for art 24/7. If you want to try the piece in your home, we will be happy to let you do that, and if you decide to keep it you can just mail us a check or call in with a credit card. We want to make shopping for art easy, fun, and painless for you.
We Always Welcome Your Consignments
If you have been thinking of changing out the artwork in your home, or if you are downsizing, or if you have received some art that does not fit your style, we are always happy to consign your original artwork by Pacific Northwest artists. We have re-homed a lot of art into new hands and so we would love to find new homes for your artwork too!
Consignors; Update Your Contact Info!
Lately, we have had a few consignors checks returned because they have moved. If you have moved or changed your phone number or email address, please let us know so emails don’t bounce, and checks don’t get returned.
A Note from Bev, Erin, Brad. Val & Ashton
Thank you for supporting our small business. We appreciate our consignors and our customers. We update our website daily either by adding new artwork, selling art which takes it off the web, or lowering prices. Be sure to check out our website www.ReSaleArt.com (especially our "New Arrivals" button) as everything is online, or come visit us in person!
