Member Assistance Program Update

Saskatchewan Lawyers’ Insurance Association has recently engaged Manitoba Blue Cross to provide members with enhanced support for mental wellness. All categories of Active and Inactive members of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and Students-at-law are eligible for free, confidential support through the Members Assistance Program (MAP), which is delivered through Manitoba Blue Cross. Effective November 5, 2024, this program replaces the Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers resources offered through Homewood Health. If you are currently receiving services through the Homewood Health program, you will be eligible to complete those services during a transition period.

Between November 6 and 8, 2024, members who have an email address that they have consented to publish through the Law Society membership directory will receive an email from no-reply@mb.bluecross.ca inviting enrollment via a link. Please note the online enrollment is the same for all clients of Manitoba Blue Cross and may include pages that do not apply to the MAP coverage. The MAP coverage does not require coordination of benefits or direct deposit. However, these pages will still display as other plan types require this information. These pages are not required to be completed, and members may select “no” to the coordination of benefits and use the toggle button to skip the direct deposit set-up.

Members who have not consented to have their emails published will not receive an email from Manitoba Blue Cross and may enroll in the program by filling out a registration form and returning it to Manitoba Blue Cross via fax to 1-204-772-1231 or email to MBCgroupbenefits@mb.bluecross.ca
