This year, he embarked on a transformative medical mission to Tenwek Hospital in western Kenya, bringing decades of professional expertise and a deeply personal commitment to global healthcare.

Three decades in the making...

Thirty years ago, Dr. Lin's journey began with a simple yet profound desire: to make a meaningful difference in Africa. What started as an idealistic dream of "feeding the hungry" evolved into a strategic approach of bringing specialized medical skills where they're most needed.

Tenwek Hospital Today

The Cardiothoracic Centre, a $1.5 billion state-of-the-art facility in West Kenya, Africa, challenged Dr. Lin's expectations. The facility demonstrated remarkable surgical capabilities, routinely performing complex procedures like artificial heart valve replacements and extensive lung surgeries.

A professional trip became a profound personal journey

"We do excellent work serving people," Dr. Lin shared. "But more importantly, we truly love the people we serve."

This philosophy transcended technical expertise. Dr. Lin was particularly moved by the hospital's holistic approach to patient care, which integrated medical treatment with spiritual support – praying with patients before, during, and after procedures.
