Moosehaven: A Place to Build Lifelong Friendships

At Moosehaven, we’re not just a retirement community - we’re a place where lasting friendships are made, and lives are enriched by the power of social connections.

Whether residents are enjoying a relaxing afternoon by the St. Johns River, participating in a group activity, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor, the sense of belonging here makes all the difference.

The importance of socialization in retirement cannot be overstated. At Moosehaven, we believe that every resident deserves to feel connected, valued, and supported.

FMA Mid-Year Convention

The Florida Moose Association 2025 Mid-Year Conference was a celebration of connection, community, and everything we love about being part of the Moose family - and Moosehaven was right at the heart of it all!

Leading the charge from Moosehaven were Executive Director Helen Taylor, Director of Communications Marina Mathews, Director of Resident Services LeeAnn Robbins, and Brandon Place Admission Specialist Angela Wood. Their presence highlighted our ongoing commitment to engaging with the greater Moose community and supporting the mission that brings us all together.

Veteran Trip to Mission BBQ

At Moosehaven, we are always filled with pride and gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country.

Recently, several of our veterans were honored in a very special way - with a thoughtful invitation from Mission BBQ to enjoy lunch in recognition of each War Memorial Day.

Spring Fling

It was the kind of day that reminds us how special life at Moosehaven truly is. Residents and staff were treated to a mouthwatering picnic lunch that brought everyone together under the beautiful Florida sunshine.

On the menu? A southern-style feast of pulled pork, creamy mac and cheese, potato salad, grilled corn on the cob, deviled eggs, and a sweet finish of peach cobbler. The delicious food was matched only by the perfect weather and the toe-tapping tunes of live music performed by Howard Morganstern.
