Northeast Florida got ‘fired up’ for Moosehaven’s ‘hottest’ event of the season! Thousands of chili lovers and car enthusiasts attended the 13th annual Chili Cook-Off & Car Show on Nov. 11. It was a sizzling celebration of hot cars and hotter chili!

Talented cook teams battled it out for ‘Chili Champion’ titles while visitors enjoyed river views, craft vendors, a kids zone, and live music. NASCAR driver Ross Chastain brought the Moose Fraternity No. 1 Show Car and took pictures with fans, and more than 200 classic cars lined the Moosehaven grounds. Proceeds from chili tasting kits benefitted Friends of TOP Parks, bringing in $9,921 for local parks.

Residents enjoyed great fun as they ‘dashed’ through the streets of Moosehaven on Nov. 19 kicking off this year’s holiday season at the virtual Rudolph 5k Run!

Walkers, runners, and golf carts decked out in holiday splendor competed to the sounds of jingling bells. It truly was a celebration of speed, style and merriment! Santa himself even made an appearance!

Bags were flying at Moosehaven as residents ‘tossed’ their way to victory at a cornhole tournament on Nov. 25. It was an exciting morning of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The event, held in the Michigan Building, featured enthusiastic seniors showcasing their tossing skills in a game of precision meets passion. Participants and spectators enjoyed the spirited atmosphere and some epic cornhole showdowns.

The tournament highlighted the residents’ competitive spirits and fostered a sense of community as participants shared in the joy of the game.

Moosehaven loves to celebrate, and residents gathered in the Michigan Building on Dec. 1 to honor October, November, and December birthdays!

It was a festive afternoon filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of lives well-lived. Balloons, party hats, and birthday cupcakes brought an extra sweetness to the event. Happiest of birthdays to our 4th quarter babies!
