Thank you to the Library Commission for funding the purchase of new adjustable tables for the meeting room at Bill Library! These new tables change height making them a great addition for all kinds of use. The gray tables purchased by the Friends of the Library will move over to our Gales Ferry meeting space to update that area.

Do you have some ideas for improving the event next year? Let's have a working group meet and discuss in January. If you are interested, please e-mail silentauctionfoll@gmail.com. We will set a convenient date and time with attendees. I highly encourage you to attend if you volunteered. There were many good suggestions that I heard during the event.

Our next meeting is Thursday, January 9, 2025. 6:00 pm is the Executive meeting, 7:15 pm is the General meeting at Gales Ferry Library. All are welcome at both meetings.

During our April meeting we will be holding our annual elections. We are in need of a President, as this is my last term according to the by law. We will also need a Vice President. You are welcome to volunteer for or to nominate someone to join the board. A nomination form will be posted on the website in mid-January, or you can email publicityFOLL@gmail.com to nominate yourself or a friend.

Special library day: January is National Braille Literacy Month.

Remember to visit the ongoing book sales at both library buildings - in the meeting room at Bill Library, and the Book Cellar at Gales Ferry Library, each of which are open during normal library hours. All sales go towards support of the library.
