| | Hello Ledyard! The Seed Library is officially closed for 2025. Overall, we gave out over 4,000 seed packets! That's nearly 2,000 fruits and veggies, just over 1,000 flowers, and 1,000 herbs, local and Wilds Ones flowers, wildflowers and 3 Sisters packets. Please keep sending in your pictures of what you've grown to lnorcia@ledyardlibrary.org. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date on the 2026 Seed Library season. Thank you all for a great growing season! | | Friends of the Ledyard Library | |
If you're interested in helping out the Friends, we'd love to see you at our next quarterly board meeting on Thursday, October 9th at the Ledyard Library. The Executive Board meets at 6:00 PM and the General Meeting starts at 7:15 pm. All are welcome!
Our Annual Snowflake Festival is approaching soon. It will feature a silent auction with beautiful gift baskets for the holiday season on Saturday, November 22nd. We're looking for wrapping helpers, basket designers, cashiers, and local businesses willing to donate gifts. Even a few hours of help is very appreciated!
Donations of themed baskets or items to fill the baskets are welcome, as well as any new or gently used baskets, containers, or shrink wrap bags.
We’re also looking to fill two Member-at-Large positions on our Board:
-
Member, focus on social media and publicity
-
Member, assist Membership Chair with outreach and engagement.
No experience needed, just a willingness to pitch in! 1-2 hr a month time commitment
For questions or to sign up for any of the above, contact Vivian Phelan at FOLLpresident@gmail.com. We can’t wait to hear from you!
