Give From the Heart

Our ISD Oneonta family member and friend, Joe Fisher, left this earthly plane on March 20th as a result of a septic infection.

Our hearts, prayers, and immense love go out to his wife, Lisa Fisher, and their sons Russell, Christopher, and "honorary family member", Joseph, who is like a son to them.

They could use our help.

We have started a GoFundMe to help the family with funeral expenses. Please consider donating what you can:

Please help us to keep offering quality classes, beautiful metaphysical services, and engaging development circles by clicking on the donate button below to make a donation to ISD Oneonta.

The Tables Turned by William Wordsworth

Up! up! my Friend, and quit your books;
Or surely you’ll grow double:
Up! up! my Friend, and clear your looks;
Why all this toil and trouble?

The sun above the mountain’s head,
A freshening lustre mellow
Through all the long green fields has spread,
His first sweet evening yellow.

Books! ’tis a dull and endless strife:
Come, hear the woodland linnet,
How sweet his music! on my life,
There’s more of wisdom in it.

And hark! how blithe the throstle sings!
He, too, is no mean preacher:
Come forth into the light of things,
Let Nature be your teacher.

She has a world of ready wealth,
Our minds and hearts to bless–
Spontaneous wisdom breathed by health,
Truth breathed by cheerfulness.

One impulse from a vernal wood
May teach you more of man,
Of moral evil and of good,
Than all the sages can.

Sweet is the lore which Nature brings;
Our meddling intellect
Mis-shapes the beauteous forms of things:–
We murder to dissect.

Enough of Science and of Art;
Close up those barren leaves;
Come forth, and bring with you a heart
That watches and receives.

Our Weekly Astrological Forecast

Connie’s Celestial Conversations

ASTROLOGY FORCAST (April 14-21)

The alignment and energies of the heavens are in a particularly rapid sequence this month, as
though the sky is a giant kaleidoscope.

Perhaps the best way to benefit is to ride the wave and FLOW with the swift changes using an alternate interpretation of the River Styx in combination with the Milky Way in our night sky.

The River Styx is depicted in mythological lore as the boundary between the Living World and the Hellish Underworld. It is most often told as a difficult experience to be crossed quickly with the ultimate punishment of being condemned to the eternal Hell, or Hades.
A recent dream showed me a completely different version of the River Styx! It was iridescent, liquid plasma, and extraordinarily beautiful. It was a personal "tween" place to enjoy, swim within, or ride upon. Each of us has this boundary to assist us to clear the veils, to release the sacred seals, to grow into our full Soul expression.

We have a River of Stars in our night skies that can serve as a guide to this personal Divine place - The Milky Way.
Consider using this light path across the sky to assist you to find your own symbolic version of this transformative River Styx that is a delivery medium to your extraordinary SELF, rather than entrance into some hellish version of amnesiac eternity

And the Good News Is!!!!!

  • If you could strum a spiderweb like a harp; what would it sound like? Researchers at MIT have used the process of ‘sonification’ to do just that. The fascinating Digital Music News article Here and listen to the music a spider may hear in its web

  • Check out This fascinating story the boy who mailed himself from Australia to Wales, by way of Los Angeles in 1965 at the age of 19. That boy is now a 75-year-old man who is getting ready to release a book about his adventure and is searching for the two friends, John and Paul, who helped him mastermind the escapade.

  • Today in history! This article on History Net details historical events from today, April 15. From Dr. Samuel Johnson publishing the ‘Dictionary of the English Language’ in 1755, to Abraham Lincoln’s death in 1865 and the Titanic sinking at 2:27 am in 1912; read all about the historical events that happened on today’s date.
