Midterm of Q2
Midterm progress reports will be sent home Friday afternoon. The midterm provides an important opportunity to review academic progress in each course. Some students may receive a notice requiring their attendance at our SILAS period on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:45–8:30 am for the remainder of the second quarter.
The purpose of this support is to help students get back on track academically before the semester ends. During SILAS, students will have a structured environment to complete work and will be encouraged to seek additional academic support from their teachers.

Emergency Messenger System Test - Thursday at 3:30 PM
Bishop Chatard will conduct a test of our emergency notification system (SchoolMessenger) on Thursday, November 13 at 3:30 pm. BCHS uses this system for emergency alerting purposes, such as one-hour delays, school closures, and communicating other critical information. A message will be sent to parents/guardians via email, phone call, and/or text message at that time using the contact information provided in PowerSchool.
If you haven't already, new parents/guardians need to opt-in to receive text messaging from SchoolMessenger. Please text "Y" or "Yes" to 67587 if you want to receive text messages on your mobile phone. If you have a new mobile number, you will need to opt in using your new cell phone number. Click here for further instructions. Please contact Ben Reilly at breilly@bishopchatard.org with any questions about emergency testing.

Road Closures
Thank you to our BCHS community for your flexibility and cooperation as demolition begins on the houses along Evanston Avenue, across from the baseball field. We appreciate your patience as we navigate temporary traffic restrictions in this area.
A reminder that parking is no longer available along the third baseline, but students may park along the first baseline and use the walking path to access the building. Those traveling to school from the south should use 58th Street to Crittenden Avenue and then Northgate Street to reach the main parking lot. The third baseline parking area will remain closed until demolition is complete.
