Construction Update - Road Closure Starting Friday

Beginning the morning of Friday, November 7, Evanston Avenue will be closed during the school day as demolition begins on the houses across from the baseball field. Parking will not be available along the third baseline, but students may park along the first baseline and use the walking path to access the building. Those traveling to school from the south should use 58th Street to Crittenden Avenue and then Northgate Street to reach the main parking lot. The third baseline parking area will remain closed until demolition is complete.

Fraudulent Emails

We have been made aware of recent fraudulent emails that appear to be sent on behalf of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis or Bishop Chatard High School, or from entities like PowerSchool or School Pass. Please be cautious and do not respond to or click on any links from suspicious messages. All official school communications will come only from the verified address communications@bishopchatard.org. If you receive an email that looks unusual, contains unexpected requests, or is sent from any other address, please delete it immediately or contact the school to verify its authenticity.

Family Resources Available

We understand that some families may be experiencing financial hardship due to the government shutdown and its potential impact on SNAP benefits. If your family is in need of assistance, please reach out to BCHS Mental Health Counselor Laura Gorr for a list of community resources and benefits. We’re here to help support our school families during this time. Laura can also be reached at 317-251-1451 ext. 2273.
