Important Reminders from the BCHS Nurses' Office
Medication During School Hours
If your son or daughter requires medication during school hours, please complete the appropriate permission form(s) found here and return the form along with the medication in its original packaging to the Nurses’ Office. All medications will be securely stored in the office and made available to students as needed during the school day.
Seniors - Meningococcal Booster Requirement
This is a reminder for students who have not yet received their Meningococcal (MCV4) booster. This vaccination is required for all students entering Grade 12.
- Students who received their first MCV4 dose on or after their 16th birthday only need one dose.
- If your son or daughter still needs the booster, please submit documentation once it has been completed so we can update the registry.
- Proof of this vaccination is often requested during the college housing application process.

Homecoming Dance - Saturday, September 20
The BCHS Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, September 20, from 7:30-10:00 pm. Here are details:
- Location is the Stadium (or Auxiliary Gym if it rains).
- Students should arrive no later than 8:00 pm, and must stay until 9:30 pm.
- Cost is $10 per person. Tickets are on sale this week during lunch.
- Dessert, lemonade, and water will be provided.

RSVP for Dad's Day Breakfast - Thursday, September 25
Calling all BCHS Dads! Join us for the BCHS Dad’s Day Breakfast next week on Thursday, September 25! Bring your student(s) and enjoy breakfast, fellowship, and an inspiring talk from Dr. Nick Zyromski, a BCHS parent and physician with IU Health Surgical Oncology. Dr. Zyromski will share his spiritual journey and how he and his family strive to live out their Catholic faith amidst the demands of daily life.

Celebrate Life Dinner - Thursday, September 25
BCHS students are invited to Right to Life of Indianapolis’ Celebrate Life Dinner on Thursday, September 25, from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Marriott Ballroom, Downtown Indianapolis (350 W. Maryland St., Indianapolis, IN 46225). This special evening will highlight renewed efforts to grow the pro-life movement among young people, reinvigorate the gospel of life in our city’s churches, and stand together against the culture of death in our community.

PSAT & SAT - Thursday, October 2
All freshmen, sophomores and juniors will take the PSAT on Thursday, October 2. Students must report to their testing location by 8:35 am in school uniform. Students are asked to arrive early to ensure ample time to get to their testing location. Dismissal will be following the PSAT at approximately 11:15 am. We cannot stress enough the importance of bringing a charged student iPad, as the PSAT is now given electronically.
Seniors who have signed up for the school day SAT will report to their testing location by 8:35 am in school uniform as well. Testing will be digital and will end at approximately 11:15 am. Seniors NOT taking the SAT on October 2 are welcome to use this day for college visits or to work on applications.
Room assignments and what to bring on test day will be posted on the School Counseling Canvas page. Students will receive an email when room assignments and other important test day information has been posted, as well as reminders in morning announcements. College Application Help Night - Tuesday, September 23
Seniors and their families are invited to a college application completion workshop this coming Tuesday, September 23, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Bring your questions! Ms. Burkett will be on hand to provide guidance, answer application-related questions, and troubleshoot any issues. Take advantage of this dedicated time to help your student finalize their applications and get them submitted well before the November 1 deadline!

Each fall, parents from each class host a Gift Gathering Party to support Bishop Chatard’s second-largest fundraiser held each February. These parties are a fun and meaningful tradition—bringing parents together to meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, and enjoy a great evening—all while giving back to a worthy cause and joining in a little friendly class competition!
