Powerschool Update
Bishop Chatard is continuing to move forward with use of the new Archdiocesan PowerSchool SIS. Now that all parents have had an opportunity to create a new PowerSchool parent portal, it is time to go into PowerSchool and update your family information.

If you have created your new parent portal, please log in to your account and click on the Registration tab on the lower left side of the screen to update your information and complete your registration. If you have not yet created your parent portal, please follow the directions below.

Completion of this update process is very important because it allows BCHS to communicate with you at the phone numbers and addresses that are most convenient for you. This pertains to our regular school communications and will also be used in the event of a school closure or emergency.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please let Ame Alerding know if you have any questions at aalerding@bishopchatard.org.
Ways for Students to stay informed
Is your student interested in getting involved, but not sure how? Contact Mr. Tim Boyle at tboyle@bishopchatard.org or stop by the Student Life office (in the Cafeteria). Other ways for students to stay informed include:
  • Follow @BCHStudentLife on Twitter!
  • Download and check out the BCHS Student News App! Students should have this on their school iPads, but can add it to their phone's home screen as well!
  • Visit the Student Page on the school website.
  • Students should look for Mr. Boyle's weekly Student Life email (sent weekly to students). Click here to read this week's email.

Counseling meetings in September
In the month of September, all students will be asked to sign up for a 10-minute meeting with their school counselor. The counselors want to get to know each student and make sure their year is off to a good start! Students can sign up for their meeting on our School Counseling canvas page. Please remind your child to choose a time when it's convenient with their schedule. Thanks!

SAT testing day for Seniors on October 12
The Bishop Chatard Class of 2023 will have an additional opportunity to take the SAT at BCHS on the day juniors are taking the PSAT (Oct. 12). This gives a chance for current seniors to boost their score.

Seniors should still complete college applications prior to November 1 using March scores. There is a $60 fee unless students qualify for an SAT waiver from Free/Reduced Lunch Status. If students choose not to take the SAT, they can use the day to make a college visit.

A reminder about parking at Bishop Chatard Football Games
When attending BCHS football games, please be aware of traffic exits and right-of-ways when parking or setting up tailgate tents and other equipment. Do not block roads or exits. Those doing so risk being required to move abruptly or being towed at the vehicle owner's expense.
Boys Volleyball Open Gyms
BCHS Boys Volleyball will host open gyms in the Aux Gym during the first three Saturdays in October:

  • October 1, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

  • October 15, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

North Deanery Night on Sept. 30
The BCHS Enrollment office invites our North Deanery students to the home football game on September 30 against Christian Brothers Academy from St. Louis.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. and until kickoff at 6 p.m., please meet our Enrollment team near the Saint Benedict Center between the Rock and the Trojan Horse tailgate at our pop-up tent to pick up your BCHS rally towel and say "hi"! After that, make your way to the Trojan Tailgate to meet members of our parent volunteer group, the Trinity Club, and grab a burger or hot dog. The Trojan Horse will also be taking goodwill donations to support their efforts.

Our wonderful art teachers and members of our Art Club will be on hand in the Trojan Tailgate for face painting. After that, head to stadium to see what Friday Night Lights at BCHS is all about and enjoy the game. Don't forget your grade school student's Future Trojan Pass for them to get in free of charge! Contact JT Funk at jfunk@bishopchatard.org with any questions.
