February 2026 CCDS E-NEWS

Executive Director's Message by Nissa Newton

This is our second E-Newsletter. You can help us spread the word about our events and activities by sharing the newsletter with others in your dental community. All of our February classes have a hybrid option, so it is accessible to anyone. For our online options, we have a special discounted price of $75  for Oregon Dental Association members. Online options for staff is only $40. For those that can make it to the class in person, I would encourage attending as it is easier to interact and you get to spend time with other dental professionals.

February is a busy month for CCDS as we focus on required licensure courses and host our business meeting during lunch on February 20th. Our required courses this year are Infection Control and Cultural Competency (working with interpreters) with Mary Soots. This year we are going to be giving out our Dental Service Award and Public Service Award. We will be announcing the recipients soon.

We have another class in Corvallis the evening before, featuring two one-hour topics on waterlines and workplace conflicts. Kelli Ngariki will be giving this class in addition to infection control on Friday. You can always find out more about our events at www.bit.ly/CCDSEVENTS
