Marine Biology Science Art Camp
Director Tim Chaucer has spent years running fun and educational summer camps in Milford. This past week, the Marine Biology Camp learned about different marine habitats and the many different animals that inhabit them. They examined mounts of fresh and saltwater fin fish, and other aquatic animals.

After outlining a marine animal of their choice, the Marine Biology campers ended the week by painting their animals!
Don't Miss this Summer Event

Saturday, June 24th, 2023
4:00PM - 11:00PM

Head down to Lisman Landing tomorrow, for Milford's Kick Off to Summer Fireworks. There will be live music by Sapphire and the Rum Runners, delicious food trucks, and the fireworks start at 9:15pm.

Free shuttles will run from Harborside Middle School, Wasson Field, and the Milford Senior Center and drop off at the event from 3:30-11:00pm. There will be no parking available behind the library, at the harbor, Lisman Landing, or at the Coast Guard.

Food Trucks include:
Italian Ices of CT, Szabo's Seafood, The Plate, Silver Sands Pizza, and Liberty Rock Tavern
NEW Classes:
Group Softball Pitching Lessons

Beginner pitching lessons for girls ages 7-10 years old in a group setting! There will be groups of 10, and each session is one hour on Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm and 5:45-6:45pm. Starts July 5th!
Wellness Warriors

This new yoga, meditation, and wellness class will help guide children with activities and strategies to better understand self-care and personal wellness. For ages 5-11 years old, Session 1 starts July 5th, on Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm.
June 26th More Camps Start!
Summer Playground Program and Pre-K Camp

Join us for some fun at this weekly camp with sports, games, arts & crafts, and special event days! There are four locations to choose from and you can join as for as many weeks as you like.

The Pre-K Camp will be at Calf Pen School and run for half a day.

Camp Happiness

This day camp is held at Foran High School, Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:00pm and is for ages 5/12. Join Camp Happiness for different themes every day of the week! These are week-long camps running June 26th-August 3rd.


Let your creativity shine this summer! The Perfect Painting class starts June 26th! This is a three-day camp 10:30am-12:00pm.

Then, the Creative Crafts Camp is the week of July 24th - where you can enjoy tie-dye, beading, decoupage, and more!

Come try fire clay, air-dried clay, flour dough clay & sand too!

Summer Junior Tennis Camp

Instructor Dave Kardas helps players work on skills for the forehand, back-hand, volley, and serve.

  • Camp run by Mike Farrell takes place from July 24th - July 28th 5pm-8pm at the Orange Ave. Turf Fields. Ages 7-14.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play chess? Join David Dawson, Chess Olympiad participant, as he provides children and their parents the time, space, tools, and instructions needed to introduce chess into children's lives in both a fun and educational way. Runs on Monday nights all summer.

  • Tots: Ages 5-7 5:00pm-6:30pm
  • Tykes: Ages 8-10 6:45pm-8:15pm

  • This clinic will teach the basic rules and skills of volleyball, and is available for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
  • August 15th-16th.

  • This clinic covers all aspects of the game over the three-day, pre-season clinic. Open to those entering 9th grade, as well as Grades 10-12.
  • August 21st-23rd.
