Suzuki Marine USA introduced this initiative at the Minneapolis Boat Show, and now it’s rolling out nationwide. Here’s how it works: Trade in your old 2-stroke outboard (any brand, any condition).
Get an exclusive discount on a Suzuki 4-stroke outboard.

Your old engine will be scrapped or recycled, and the money from the process will be donated to an environmental organization.

Not only do you get a great deal on a reliable, clean-burning Suzuki 4-stroke, but you’ll also be doing your part to improve the health of our lakes, rivers, and oceans.

QUESTION & ANSWER

QUESTION: WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO DE-WINTERIZE MY BOAT?

ANSWER: That’s a great question, and the answer depends on how your boat was winterized. If you winterized with Lynnhaven Marine, you likely chose one of two options:

BASIC WINTERIZATION:

• Stabilizer run through the fuel system
• Antifreeze circulated through the engine block
•Corrosion protection fluid applied to the block

COMPREHENSIVE WINTERIZATION:

(Includes everything from Basic, plus…)

• Lower gear fluid changed
• Engine oil and filters replaced
• Prop shaft greased
• Compression test performed
• Full computer diagnostic readout

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SPRING

If you chose Comprehensive Winterization, all you need to do is start your engine—if it runs smoothly, you’re ready to hit the water!

If you chose Basic Winterization, you may need to complete some spring maintenance before launching, unless these services were done before storage.

Freshwater System?
If your boat has a freshwater system, you’ll need to flush and refill it multiple times to remove any winterization fluid.

RESTORING THE SHINE AT LYNNHAVEN MARINE!

This month, our detail crew took on a big challenge—and nailed it! This 25ft boat had a ceramic coating applied years ago, but time had taken its toll. The coating had faded and turned chalky, leaving the hull looking dull.

Our team got to work, carefully buffing off the old ceramic coating to reveal the gelcoat underneath. Then, they applied a fine compound wax to restore its shine and protect the fresh surface. The result? A boat that looks as good as new!
