We don't know when the COVID-19 pandemic will end, or what things will look like at that time. But you have helped us see the silver lining. We have seen the commitment from our amazing community, the strength of our staff and clients, the creativity of our friends, and the good in every one of you. SleepIn for SleepOut was an incredible success, and we reached - and surpassed - our goal. Our partners stood by us and supported us from start to finish, and we are so grateful!

- Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens Virtual Tours
For those wishing to take a serene “walk” through the Gardens, there are three virtual tours available via the
Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens
website. The first, “The Story of Ann Norton” was produced when Ann Norton was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame in 2019. The second, “The Tour of the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens” is from an Art Loft episode that aired on South Florida PBS last year. In addition, a serenity garden tour is currently in the works. All three video tours will be available on
www.ansg.org
.
"Everyone around the country is grappling with a ‘new normal,’ while navigating ways to stay connected with family, friends and colleagues,” continued Horgan. “Until we can open our doors again, we hope these new virtual offerings from the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens will help our members, students and faculty, and those in the community feel engaged, empowered and educated.”

Although we weren’t able to gather together this year for
The Royal Poinciana Plaza
Easter Egg Hunt, we were excited to still support our annual Easter Egg Hunt charity partner, Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County, and make a donation to their COVID-19 Hunger-Relief Initiative which provides fresh good to children and their families.
To thank those on the frontlines helping our Palm Beach community, we organized Royal food drop-off’s from our tenants to Town of Palm Beach Fire, Town of Palm Beach Police, Town of Palm Beach Public Works, and the Emergency Department at Good Samaritan Hospital.

At
Little Smiles
our mission has always been to help kids be kids during difficult times, and to also look out for those who take care of our kids. Since March 21st we have been providing 780 meals weekly to a local shelter for victims of domestic abuse that has 48 children onsite. It is also not uncommon for us to send meals to our nurses and medical teams at the 11 area hospitals we serve, and with COVID that need has increased exponentially. In March we provided meals to over 500 nurses and doctors.

Thanks to the grants we received from Children Services Council and The Health Care District of Palm Beach County, we were able to provide 130 families with a $200 food card during their time of need.
|
The Ben
offered our First Responders in the area (medical professionals, fire department, etc) a special hotel rate to assist them with bringing on extra labor or protecting them from their families if needed. We have reached out to National Guard, FEMA, Traveling Nurse Programs and more to let anyone coming to West Palm Beach to assist that The Ben is here to do our part in our community.
They also started a Grocery Shopping Service by pinpointed condo buildings in the general area of the hotel and offered their concierge desks our grocery menu of items available through their purveyors. The Ben does this as a community service to help local patrons that helped launch their business when it opened in February and the local first responders.

Speak Up for Kids
, the nonprofit dedicated to the
Palm Beach County Guardian ad Litem Program
, is working diligently to spread hope among children and families involved in the foster care system during this time of uncertainty. Since COVID-19 began to impact our community, SUFK has funded many requests for basic needs such as food, clothing, and utilities. With a priority for normalcy, SUFK delivered holiday treats to children placed in relative care, foster homes, and group homes- all to ensure “our kids” still get to celebrate their Passover or Easter tradition.
As a proud Member of the Palm Beach Chamber,

With the new challenges brought about by COVID-19,
MorseLife
has quickly adapted with an innovative spirit and great compassion for all its residents. Technology has provided many opportunities to engage isolated and uneasy older adults, providing a human connection in their daily lives. From the introduction of a Learn & Share streaming class series to a virtual Passover Seder, MorseLife is exploring new avenues to keep residents and community members thriving during a difficult time.
When COVID-19 became a concern to the community, MorseLife went to work developing safety protocols while simultaneously familiarizing residents with new technology platforms like Zoom, Facebook Live and FaceTime so that they could stay in close contact with loved ones. The staff also made sure to help residents’ access online games, shopping sites and more in order to keep them engaged and entertained.
MorseLife, with funding from The Commonwealth Project (TCP), recently wrapped up its eighth program of a new Learn & Share virtual series, with television personality Suzanne Boyd. Program content has included enlightening educational discussions about selling collectables, creating the perfect cup of tea and the benefits of CBD, as well as interactive chair yoga and cooking classes.

During this challenging time in our nation and abroad, as we face the threat of COVID-19, the
YMCA of the Palm Beaches
, following the lead of YMCAs across the state of Florida, is committed to providing emergency child care services to the children first responders, medical personnel, government employees, and other essential workers. Below is a list of the services The Y is providing to our community:
• All-day emergency child care services for children ages 2-12.
• Well-check calls to local seniors to help in connecting with needed resources, including food and home supplies.
•Hosting community blood drives in our parking lot, as supplies have grown low through the COVID-19 pandemic.
•Permitting local first responders to utilize our property for training purposes.
The YMCA is one of the largest providers of child care in the nation and across the state of Florida which makes it uniquely suited to meet the needs of these children, whose brave parents need our help. The YMCA of the Palm Beaches has set up a COVID-19 Relief Fund to help ensure they have the staff and resources necessary to deliver these critically important emergency child care services to our community’s heroes, so they can continue to be on the front lines to end this crisis.

As a provider for home health care in Palm Beach with
Senior Nannies/Senior Advantages
.
We have mobilized our employees, volunteers and connected families to safely focus our efforts together. It is my belief, that our overall contribution to the community is very small. However, we also feel that if everyone who is able to assist our community, contributes with small acts of kindness and support, the overall effects will prove to be quite tremendous.
Thus far, we have donated over 400 homemade, washable, sterile and reusable masks to 6 small residential community assisted livings and 4 local hospitals to protect their staff, social workers, administrators, patients and residents. We have also provided 100s of meals for multiple small home communities and caregivers providing assistance for our most vulnerable populations.
