“whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”—James 4:14

Has it ever occurred to you that nothing has ever occurred to God. Nothing takes God by surprise. Everything is moving according to a plan, and God wants you in that plan. Billy Graham once wrote, “that God has a plan and the devil has a plan, and you will have to decide which plan you are going to fit into.” He continued to write “that God allows us 70 years and some beyond. The first 15 are spent in childhood and early adolescence. Twenty years are spent in bed, and in the last five, physical limitations start to curtail our activities. That gives us about 30 years in which to live as adults. We take time out for eating, and for figuring our taxes, and we are down to perhaps 15 years. Now suppose we spend seven of those years watching television. That cuts us down to seven or eight years. Our time is short! The time we can invest for God, in creative things, in reaching our fellowmen for Christ, is short!” Just a reminder that we all need to use the most precious gift God has given us “TIME”, time to serve and to share His love with others.

This past weekend, the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center hosted a Youth Retreat from FBC Burnet. Prior to this Retreat I was able to complete some minor maintenance issues at the Retreat Center including installing a new industrial stove, repairing a washing machine, and repairing a broken water line.

On Saturday, I was blessed to attend the Burnet/Llano Baptist Association Men’s Breakfast hosted by FBC Marble Falls with guest speaker Jerry Hall from Texas Baptist Men. It was a wonderful time of information and fellowship. That same day I also attended two funeral services in Waco and Plano. On Sunday, I was blessed to sing a special at Fairy Baptist Church

This week, I will be attending a Fairy Cemetery Board Meeting, Hico Ministerial Alliance Meeting, Erath Association Homelessness Meeting, having lunch with a new pastor in our area, attending and

participating in the Accelerate Texas Gathering hosted by Kevin Miles at the Tri-Rivers Retreat Center and on Saturday, Talon and I will be leading a Church Vision Conference at FBC Oglesby.  On Sunday, Talon and I will be leading worship and preaching at Calvary Baptist Church in Stephenville followed by singing at their church valentine banquet.

Each week brings new opportunities to serve all our area churches in meeting the various needs of the church and its leadership. We are honored to be serving each church as we together serve our Lord in sharing the message of Salvation to each community. Your faithful financial support allows every church to have their ministry needs met so they can be more effective in reaching their community for the Lord. We are all One Church located in over 100 Locations serving and working Together in Ministry and in our Calling to deliver the Message of Christ Love to all.

Please reach out to us with your ministry needs as we are available to serve you 24/7. We are a “Brotherhood of Churches”.

Hello everyone, I pray you all had an amazing week blessed by the Lord! God has been showing me the need for unity in the body of Christ. I hope you will take a moment to pray for a fellow church or family as we fulfill the Great Commission together.

(Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:11-13)

This past Sunday, I preached and sang special music at School Creek Baptist Church. On Wednesday, I lead a bible study at Fairy Baptist Church.

This coming Sunday, I will be leading worship at Calvary Baptist Church and singing with DOM Richard Ray at their Valentine Banquet. On Monday, I will be attending the H-3 Meeting hosted by True Vine Fellowship. On Wednesday, I will be leading a bible study at Fairy Baptist Church. Thursday and Friday I will be leading worship for the Accelerate Texas Youth Leader Training hosted at your Tri-Rivers Retreat Center by Kevin Miles, your new Youth Ministry Consultant. Saturday, DOM Richard and I will be leading a In-House Church Retreat at FBC Oglesby.

I am available to assist any of our area churches who need a guest preacher, worship leader, or musician, and I am available to give sound, video, and media consultations and assistance.

If you or someone you know is a Musician, Worship Leader, or Local Church Missionary, we encourage you to serve in our area Churches. If you feel led to serve in this area, please contact your Area Office at [email protected] or 254-865-1299.

I am here to serve you and your church and hope to meet you as my wife Josalyne and I travel around the Tri-Rivers Baptist Area.

The Tri-Rivers Hispanic Church Fellowship had their quarterly gathering on Sunday the 28th. There were a total of 54 people who attended, representing 8 churches. Attendance was low because of the cold/flu bug going around and many could not be there because of that. I was there representing Tri-Rivers Association. It was a wonderful service and the joy of being there together worshipping the Lord was heartwarming. If you have never been to one of these quarterly fellowships, I would encourage you to attend one and even if you don't understand Spanish, you will be blessed. It truly is a time of Christian fellowship.

This was also going to be an ordination service for two pastors, but because of illness among some of the leading pastors preventing them from being there, we have postponed the ordination service to a later date. What was most encouraging to me was to see our church planters Joel and Lily Solorzano and

the impact they have made on the Hispanic Mission in Gatesville. The members of the Hogar de Dios church that were attending were so happy to have Joel and Lily leading that mission church and it was obvious on their participation in the fellowship and the joy on their faces as they worshipped together. Please be praying for Joel and Lily as they reach into the community

around the mission, that people will respond to the outreach of the church.

We are excited to share that our latest resource is our online learning system featuring Jesus-Focused Youth Ministry which introduces learners to six essential characteristics emulating Jesus’ ministry:

  • Go deeper in intimacy with Christ
  • Pray with passion for God’s presence and power
  • Build leaders for in-depth and long-term ministry
  • Disciple students to move toward maturity in Christ
  • Penetrate the culture through relationships
  • Create outreach opportunities to reach students for Christ

While we still offer in-person training forums, we believe the addition of individualized online training will put this invaluable resource into the hands of many more people. Because we offer the training in English, Spanish, Russian, and Swahili, it will exponentially increase our reach.

We are building on our past to influence the future. And we are giving JFYMO away free to youth leaders during our introductory period. You can learn more by visiting JFYMO.com

I am willing to meet with pastors, elders, mission teams, or congregations. I can do a quick 5 minute spill or I can do an entire testimony. I'd also be willing to share a song or two if needed. I'm completely willing to accommodate whatever the churches needs are.
